the four friends are sound asleep, but one of them is having trouble, and it was Guido that hears the faint sounds of Ercole tossing and turning in his sleeping bag, groaning. All of a sudden, he is awoken by him as he screams "MOM, DAD!" Making Ciccio and Maria spring out of their beds as well. He is breathing heavily and rapidly, almost gasping for air, his heart beating faster then the speed of light. His hands are trembling with fear as they begin to sweat, with the sick feeling in his stomach as he once again, saw his beloved parents die before his very eyes. Guido tries to calm him down, And says concerned, "what's wrong Ercole? What happened? are you okay?" He responds in a choked up voice "I-I had a dream...it was them...and..and" he breaks down and starts to cry. Guido realizes who he's talking about, and comforts him while saying "hey it's okay, it's okay, don't cry." Maria becomes worried then remembers what he told her earlier before. "he told me that you three are orphans, what happened?" Guido looks at her scared that she might be suspicious. So he thinks of a fake story to tell her "well, when he was little, he and his parents got caught in a storm while they were on a boat." He continues "he survived, but his parents sadly did not, and he was found by fishermen and was taken to an orphanage in Oceania, that's where he met me and Ciccio." Maria, now knowing his sad backstory, starts to comfort him as well and says "Ercole please don't cry it's gonna be okay." He still continues to cry, then she says "hey, look at me" and puts her gentle hands on his face while he had tears in his eyes. "It was only a nightmare. Everything is gonna be okay, we're here for you..." he slowly starts to calm down, steadying his breathing and three of them hugged him tightly. Maria's dad then comes in with a worried expression "is everyone good in here? I heard a scream and ran in as soon as I can." Maria answers him "yeah it's just...Ercole had a nightmare and it scared him badly, but he'll be okay." Ercole then looked up to him "I'm sorry for waking you up sigñore Bianco..." her dad then said in a kind voice "please don't be. You had a nightmare and we all have those sometimes" He goes on "now get some rest Everything will be better tomorrow, I promise." Ercole smiles and thanks him and after he left, they all did one final group hug and went back to sleep now that he knows he's safe...for now.
