Part II:

Months have pass since the both of them met. Since his run with her on the hallway. Since the first time he found out that because of the tragedies that occurred on her Family, she’s left with the traumatized to speak. Since he saw her smile. Since she felt relax with his presence. Since he found out he loves him.

Kayden was not one bit bothered by it. For him, the longer he longs to hear her voice the longer he’ll fell deeply in love with her. He still hasn’t made a move with her; it’s all about building her trust and securities, that’s what he kept on telling and reminding himself. They’re together everyday. He picks her up and takes her home. She watches his late practices and cheers for him. They look out for each other.

The dreadful talk is about after Graduation. Kayden is set to study in Stanford, whether he gets the Football Scholarship or not, he has set his mind to study Architecture there.

While he was still waiting for Lily changing her clothes Kayden asks Poppy, “What are you gonna do about College? Has there been Colleges or Universities that Lily is interested in?” Poppy was seated on the Living Room couch just right beside Kayden. She turned to look at him, “No School would want a mute girl Kayden. I’ve tried to apply her to a normal one but when they found out her inability to talk, they chicken out. No matter what her Report Card says,” shaking her head, “But I’ve talk to her Doctors I think they have agreed on going her to a Facility. Like a Rehab Center, they think if she saw other people’s situation she might… speak,”

“So it means she won’t be able to attend School unless she speaks again?” Poppy nodded. It was cruel, sad but it’s reality for her, “What if I try my best to make her speak? I like, no, love your daughter Poppy,” he honestly said, “With her outstanding performance and School Grade, getting her in in Stanford is easy. That is if she wants to of course,” Poppy was about to reply when they heard footsteps. They both stood up but they knew the talk is not done yet.

Days before Kayden had been invited to a Beach Party. It’s going to be Graduation next month and the Big Game in a week. They want to celebrate it first of themselves. Kayden wanted to invite Lily. He wanted her to know what it felt like to socialize and untroubled for once. Of course she said no immediately but he made her sure that he will not leave her sight for the night. He even promised that he will not drink for her. With that, he finally made her agree.

Lily was wearing shorts with a big loose t-shirt but it did not make her fatter, it only made her look more desirable. Kayden grabbed her hand and kissed it, “You look beautiful,” even after he had said it to her for the past months, it still gives her the flattery feeling in her stomache, “You’re not going to Marry my daughter secretly will you Kayden?” Poppy joked while Kayden blushed, “Not tonight Poppy. Not tonight,”

They bought drove around until they reach the beach side. The Music was blasting and there were so many cars parked already. When he found a spot, he parked and walked to the house. The moment he went in he was greeted with cheers. Some people have been okay with his relationship with Lily but to some, it was wrong and she did not deserve her. It was Hara for the most. She tried and tried but she can’t and will not ever accept that she will lose against some mute.
