I walked over the kitchen shaking either because or my injury or the fear of doing stitches for the first time on a real person and not in a hospital. I was beyond nervous for so many reasons one being I was about to stitch up an usually hot man while most likely being concussed.
"You can do this." He looked over at me pacing the kitchen. "What's your name by the way, I forgot to ask."
"Bella." I said.
"Bella, you can do this I believe in you. I also need you to do I don't die so please calm down and come over here." He groaned. I walked over quickly with my hands full.
"Here drink up!" I smiled as best I could but realized he can't even see it. He grabbed the bottle drinking with barely any reaction.
"Okay do you know how to do stitches, if not I can guide your hands." He say up facing me.
"I'm a nurse, I can do them. However, I've never done them on a real person. Only in the labs." I looked down and laid out the tools I remembered I would need.
"That's better than me my first time." He laughed to himself. "I can still help if you want. I know my body better anyway."
"Yeah that sounds good." I grabbed some cotton and alcohol to start cleaning the cut. His abs were really defined in this light. Stop. I can't let my heart race too much. I looked up and noticed his mouth turn into a smile. It's too late. "Okay Im gonna start by cleaning the wound. It's gonna hurt, but you probably know that."
"Don't worry about how much it hurts just do it." He groaned laying his head back down. I started patting around the cut. Once I began rubbing the cut he winced.
"Sorry." i mumbled as I cleaned it. Once I finally got it as clean as possible it was time for the stitches. "Well here goes nothing." I began the stitches. He whipped his head back grunting as I pulled them through. I got about halfway through before it got more difficult. The cut was pretty large and real human skin is different from the fake skin in labs.
"Here." He says up slightly grabbing my hands gently. He guided me through the next couple stitches. "There, now you got it." I finished the rest up with ease thanks to his help.
"All done." I set down the tools and sighed out of relief.
"Thank you Bella. You did a really good job." He smiled lightly and laid back down. "This alcohol is making me exhausted."
"You also did get hit a lot it would seem. Here you can sleep on your bed Im fine." I got up to help him over.
"No, no Im good here." He rolled around obviously uncomfortable.
"Matt. Go to the bed." I demanded.
"Oh wow, okay." He got up and I walked with him to make sure he made it alright. "There's enough room for you too. Trust me it's not weird." My heart started pounding again at the thought of us sleeping in the same bed.
"Yeah, okay. Just one night that's all." I mumbled walking to the other side and getting in. Almost as soon as I got comfortable he was asleep. His breathing had steadied and I could see his chest rise and fall gracefully. he was so beautiful.

I woke up to the sun shining in, he didn't have curtains. I moved a little when I realized I was wrapped in his arms. Oh god. I freaked out a little feeling like I shouldn't be here. I must've moved too much or my heart beat was too fast because Matt woke up and quickly removed his arms from around me.
"Sorry." He said quietly rolling over to check the time. "Shit."
"What's wrong?" I asked sitting up as he got out of bed slowly trying not to bother the cut.
"I have work in 20 minutes. Please stay here until you feel better. Do you live around here?" He asked as he buttoned his shirt.
"Yeah I live down a couple blocks, my roommates are crazy though. I'd much rather stay here. For the day I mean, not forever. Im not trying to intrude." He laughed to himself.
"You're not intruding. Stay as long as you need, it's nice having company here."
