Unfair

"Rachelle, wake up." I say, shaking her shoulder. She groans.

"No." She says.

"Yes." I say.

She groans again, but sits up nevertheless. I cover my eyes with my arm.

"And for God's sake, put a shirt on." I say, tossing her one of mine.

"You weren't complaining last night." She says, smirking.

I run a hand through my hair. "I'm not exactly proud of last night." I say.

She slips on her--my--shirt and moves so she's closer to me.

"Whatever you say, Jackypoo." She says, planting a kiss on my cheek. I shiver.

Must...not...let...her...get...to...me...

"So, what do you wanna do today?" I ask, pushing my hair out of my eyes.

She shrugs, playing with a strand of my hair. "We could sit around here, watch a movie. Maybe get some food from Debbie's."

I snort. "Yeah. You and me walking into Debbie's restaurant." That would blow over well.

"True." She says. "But we've still got the movie option."

I scowl. "I'm not a movie person." I say. "You should know that."

She smirks. "Yeah. I would know, wouldn't I?" She says.

"Yeah, you know more than you should." I say. "Speaking of which, you haven't told anyone about my...job, have you?"

Yes, I know, I shouldn't have told Rachelle that I'm an Elite, but things tend to slip out of your mouth when...anyways, it slipped.

That's not important.

She shakes her head. "I would never." She caresses my face and leans closer, her lips brushing against mine. "You should know you can trust me." She mumbles.

"Mm." I grunt, unable to construct a complete sentence. I clear my throat. "You don't seem very trustworthy."

"How so?" She asks.

"I can't trust you not to drive me crazy." I say. She throws a leg over me so that she's sort of straddling me.

"I could say the same about you." She says. I move forward to kiss her, but she pulls back, biting her lip. I shake my head.

"Unfair." I say. I place my hand on her waist and press her against me. "You're not allowed to do that."

"Are there rules to this game, Jackypoo?" She asks, taking my bottom lip in between her two.

"It doesn't matter. Just kiss me." I say, wrapping my hand around her head and press her mouth against mine.

She's such a slut. But I have to admit, I love it.

I feel a rush of adrenaline as I press her body against mine, deepening the kiss. She moans against my lips, making me smile. She tastes like cherry lip balm. She wore it because she knows it's my favorite. She knows me like that. I would say "she loves me like that," but to tell the truth, none of this is love. Losing Chloe definitely had an effect on me, and I know she has problems of her own, too. Everyone does. Everyone needs something--or someone--to help them forget.

Everyone needs an escape.
...
Yes, I know it's short, but bear with me here.

Also, I'm sorry it took me so long to upload. My tablet broke so I have to depend on other people's technology to help me until I get it fixed. And I can't exactly use other people's stuff all the time, so...you know how that goes.

Anyways, how are you liking the book so far? I know, everyone asks that question, and it's really hard to answer in the way we want to hear. Whatever. Go all out with it. I know we all have that perv side to us. ;)

Anyways, that's all.

Love you all!
