I woke up to the sound of scuffling outside of my door. Seemingly the maid, Marin, was nowhere to be seen this morning. Well, at least I successfully created a problem for her as I had hoped to. I sat there and sighed before sitting up, the room was dark, and only one window cracked open enough for me to see outside.
That serenity was broken in an instant, as a man barged into my room, with no warning or knock. No matter how much you all hate me I still am a noble lady. You should at least have some respect for me in that aspect. He marched up to me probably to instruct me on something but was caught off guard by the glare I was giving him. Choices popped up again:
---
1. " HOW DARE AN INSIGNIFICANT BUG LIKE YOU ENTER MY ROOM AS YOU PLEASE?! "
2. " ARE YOU TRYING TO START A SCANDAL GET OUT OF HERE THIS INSTANT "
3. * Stay Silent *
- Hidden Choice -
4. " Paul how dare you... " + 60 seconds to speak uninhibited.
---
Well, those three suck, choice 4 seems to be the only viable one. If I could phrase it right, I may be able to force him to be more considerate in the future.
I glared at him coldly " Paul how dare you. " He looked up surprised at what I said, and I continued as he looked at me puzzled, " How dare you enter without my permission, you do realize I am still the lady of the Edryth house and also your master who you serve. " His eyes widened as I spoke, obviously confused by the difference in reaction from what was normal. I pressed him with a smile that didn't reach my eyes " Honestly, how many years of experience do you have as the head butler? " He glanced around once before straightening and saying " That would be 20 years as of last year. " I bore a hole into him as I stalled for a second before clicking my tongue and snarling " Hmm really and yet you still don't know the concept of basic decency between a man and a woman, especially a lady and her servant. " At this comment, he flushed, looking extremely embarrassed. He met my eyes once again as I narrowed mine at him and growled " Nothing to say to that? Fine then get out right this instant and try again. " I finished by waving my hand in the air to get the point across, he promptly rushed toward the door before mumbling an apology and swiftly leaving the room.
A couple of seconds ticked by as I heard the hands of the clock click into place each second, everything seemed to be still. An eerie quiet filled the place, a lack of sound replacing the busy scurrying that was outside just moments before. I sighed once again before looking at the mirror again touching and feeling my new features, a sorry attempt to try and become more accustomed to this face. No wonder the game made her the villainess, her features were sharp, cold like ice, and without the love of a parent or family in general she never came to understand how to love others. A pitiful existence that was just picked up off the street one day, in an attempt to fill the gaping hole left by their dear, dear Yvonne after she had gone missing. The thought was bitter and unpleasant, and I decided to try and forget about it.
After a few moments, there was a knock on my door, light, seemingly polite. A window popped up with three choices:
---
1. " Yes, come in. "
2. * Stay Silent *
3. " DON'T YOU GET IT? STAY OUT! "
---
Well, I mean I had just barked at Paul to knock on the door, so I decided to choose 1.
