Luisa came back with a thumbs up, "She said okay and you can stay in the guest room." The strong girl then went back cleaning up the party.
Camilo looked back at me with a grin when suddenly Luisa popped back in. "Oh and Abuela said you should go straight to sleep, its really late already. I'm talking to you Camilo, don't bother our guest," Camilo rolled his eyes and groaned in defeat of his plans.
"Its okay, we can hang out more tomorrow if you'd like. But I'll have to go back home for a while first." I assured him
The chameleon boy smiled like a child on Christmas. "I'll come pick you up after my chores then! C'mon now the guest room is right upstairs beside Mirabel's room." He lead me up the stairs and to a dark wooden door.
"I'll leave you to rest now, there should be some night clothes in there I think. My sister Dolores would put extra clothes in the closet. Good night!"
Before going to his room, he gave me a light hug, but I could feel his breath against my neck. It gave me a few chills but I hugged him back a bit.
Well, to be honest I don't get hugged that often, but it's comforting. Am I touch starved or something?
As I watched him walk along the hall for a second, I entered the guest bedroom. There was a medium sized bed, the wallpaper was pretty colorful but not in a bad way, and a large old closet across from the bed. The open window made it chilly inside so I decided to close it.
I started looking for the clothes Camilo mentioned, there was a nightgown in the closet. It was all white but pretty elegant and lucky for me just my size.
Looking around the room, it felt really bare and empty. I looked at the side of the closet and there was a mirror on it's door.
I could see myself.
I could see how the dress was a bit tight around my stomach, around my thighs.
I don't like it.
I hate it.I gripped the cloth near my stomach and let out a shaky deep breath.
Being alone in a room like this made my head spin in a way I didn't like.
I could feel my eyes start to well up a bit but I tried to control my breathing, and slowly enough I was able to calm down.
Lying down in the bed, I stared up at the ceiling. I can't sleep at all. It felt like an hour or 2 had past when it finally became completely silent. Everyone must've gone to sleep by now. Maybe a glass of milk can help? This bed is really uncomfortable, and not gonna lie, kinda dusty.
Getting out of bed it started to creak a bit. Just in case I bump into someone, I fixed up the dress I was wearing and opened the door slightly to peek out.
Ok no one's here.
I started to walk a bit slowly in front of a few doors and paused when I saw Camilo's. All the doors look so detailed, I still can't believe it was connected to their gifts.
All of a sudden the door opened revealing a half awake Camilo. "What're you doing here awake?" He says while rubbing his eyes a bit.
"I couldn't sleep that well so I wanted to go drink something to help.. why are you awake?" I lifted a brow.
He yawned before answering, "I wanted to go hang out with you... obviously." Camilo paused a bit in between his words while talking since he looked like he can just drop and fall asleep any second.
