Soon enough, nap time came along. As all of the kids headed to the nap time area (Y/n had woken up previously), Y/n decided to sit this one out. Possibly a bad idea, deadly even, but whatever. They sat on the ledge of the ball pit and gazed around at their surroundings.

«Y/n PoV»

I finally laid my eyes on the small balcony above the ball pit, seemingly leading to wherever Sundrop and Moondrop resided whenever the daycare was closed. I felt as though there was someone behind me, but whenever I looked I only saw darkness, and a few feet of carpet revealed by the small flash light I'd pulled out of the ballpit. I shrugged it off and tried to ignore the feeling, to no avail. I finally left the spot, thinking that maybe it would cure the feeling if I was farther away from anyone that could possibly be watching me. I struggled up one of the long slides and sat down at the top of the play structure. I shined my flashlight down at the floor below me, seeing something rush to the side to escape the illumination. I gasped softly and fell backwards, almost falling off. I frantically turned my body around in different directions in hopes of seeing whatever was there. I felt tears start to well up in my eyes and slid down to one of the lower levels of the play structure. After a few minutes of hyperventilating and trying to calm myself down, I was snapped out of my thoughts by someone grabbing me by my shirt collar. I yelled, only be silenced by a hand covering my mouth. I was met face to face with an animatronic that looked surprisingly like sun, but without the rays and a nightcap on it's head.

“Naughty, nau- wait.. You're the one that was left here a few nights ago, aren't you?„ It spoke, the voice being weirdly familiar. I nodded hesitantly. The moon animatronic hummed, content.

“Well, I suppose you would like to know who I am. My name is Moondrop, I only come out during nap time or whenever the lights turn off.„ He said, carrying me like a baby and pulling a rope from the ceiling. He took a hook from one of his pockets and hooked the rope to a loop on his back, hopping off the play structure and gliding over to the small balcony above the ball pit. He opened the curtains and nudged me into the room. It was messy, but also cozy somehow. I sat down with him and listened to him begin singing a small lullaby to calm me down. My eyelids grew heavy and I yanked a blanket over myself, snuggling into my fluffy pillow.

“Goodnight, Moony!!„ I whisper-yelled to Moon as he was about to leave the room. He looked back and waved goodbye to me with a small smile. He then grabbed into the arch and pulled himself up, seemingly climbing up the wall to.. Some sort of destination.

“Goodnight, Y/n...„
