Crystal's P.O.V
"Mom! I already told you na mas gusto ko mag aral sa Rizal Univ. besides, i graduated high school with flying colors. My friends are there too. Hindi mo 'ko pwedeng ilipat sa isang cheap public school just because gusto mo lang" i shouted
"This is what's best for you. Look! ganyan ba ang natutunan mo sa dati mong school? you're being disrespectful to your own mother." she said
I glared at her and said "It's the new normal mom! It means online class. Bakit kailangan mo pang gawin 'to?"
"My decision is final." she looked at me straight in my eyes
"You can't force me to do that" I gritted my teeth.
" I already submitted the requirements. Wala ka nang magagawa, Crystal. I've already made my decision. You'll study in L.E high "
I stomped my feet as I run upstairs to my room. Nilock ko ang pinto at humiga sa kama ko.
Why is she treating me like this? I did everything to make her proud and now ililipat nya 'ko sa isang public school? What's worse is bukas na agad ang start ng class! is she out of her mind?
I took my phone and open my FB account when an unfamiliar person messaged me
"Allan Chester?" I murmured
"Good day Ms. Crystal Suarez, My name is Allan Chester Santos and I'll be your adviser in L.E high. I just wanna inform you that I have already added you to the group chat wherein you'll be joining the rest of the year with your classmates in STEM-11-1. I'm looking forward to meeting you tomorrow in our virtual class. Have a nice day Ms.Suarez!!"
I double tapped his message to give him a heart react
I can't believe it! Pati strand ko si mommy na rin and nagdesisyon. STEM huh? tss
I closed my eyes when my phone vibrated
I received messages from my new classmates saying na they want to be friends with me daw. geez, calm daw hoomans!
I accepted a few friend requests and went to sleep

Monday, 8:00 A.M
I styled my hair and put a little make-up on. I wanna make a good first impression even though ayoko dito mag aral.
Our virtual flag ceremony started earlier ago, Around 7:00 am, and now mag s-start na ang first-class namin which is 21st Century Literature. Well, The term "21st-century literature" refers to literature created in the twenty-first century around the world. For the purposes of this article, the measure of years is literature published from (approximately) 2001 to the present. I made a research to all my subjects before class starts kaya informed ako kung tungkol saan 'tong subject na 'to
I like writing and reading various of stories kaya I think basic na ito para sa'kin.
Sir Allan asked us to introduce ourselves with our name, age, loc, and fave literary piece.
I was busy scrolling through Instagram when suddenly my turn to introduce myself came.
I turned on my mic and look straight to the screen.
"My name is Crystal Suarez, and I am 16 years old. My favorite literary piece is "Little women," since women have been oppressed and looked down on for a long time. We are characterized as weak and vulnerable, yet this book demonstrates that a woman does not require a man to live and that she can stand on her own as a powerful individual. I think that reading and understanding that book will also be an excellent platform for women empowerment, and that's what I want people to reflect on" I grinned as I turned off my microphone.
"laban kababaihan, I like your answer Ms. Suarez! Lavarnnn!" Sir allan said. Is he...gay? nvm
After the 'introduce yourself' thingy nagproceed na sa discussion ni sir. Okay naman. Actually, Magaling syang magturo and my classmates were quite smart.
I sighed
I miss my old school so much, pati na rin ang mga friends ko.
I went online and saw that my new classmates are complimenting me in how well i introduced myself.
I raised my eyebrows. Some of the messages were like:
'I like how cute your voice is'
'Your smile is damn melting me'
'Sana imaging friends tayo'...blah blah blah and so on.
I was about to turn off my phone when a new notification came up
'Joshua Gomez added you'
oh! new classmate. should I accept? or decline...?
