A Day Off

Three hours later Izuku blinked his eyes open to see a white bright light. He shielded his eyes in annoyance before adjusting his vision to see that he was in Recovery Girl's office. His awakening doesn't go unnoticed. "It seems you're awake young man." Izuku turns his head toward Recovery Girl and asks, "How long was I out?"

"A total of three hours, that young lady had to make repairs to that device in your chest. After that All Might brought you to my care, you're lucky that armor can handle so much because you only suffered minor injuries." Izuku processes the information before saying, "I see, how's everybody else?" 

Recovery Girl sighs before saying, "Aizawa suffered a lot of damage, major trauma to his head along with both of his arms broken. But that man is too stubborn to surrender to such injuries, 13 received major damage to her body from her quirk but I was able to heal her, all she needs is rest now. As of your class, only a few had some minor bruises and scratches but other than that everyone is alright."

"That's good to hear. In that case, when am I free to go?" Recovery Girl does a quick check-up. "It seems you are well-rested enough to start walking but make sure you get plenty of rest if you want to go back to hero work." Izuku nods. "Alright, thanks for the help Recovery Girl." Recovery Girl waves. "Just don't become a regular young man." Izuku leaves Recovery Girl's office to find Melissa and thank her for saving him.

Izuku finds the support course door and opens it to see Melissa asleep on her desk, he walks over and nudges her. "Hey Mel, wake up." After a minute Melissa wakes up to see Izuku by her side, it takes a few seconds for her to realize it before she gets up and hugs him. "Izuku you're okay!" Izuku hugs back. "Yeah, thanks to you." It didn't take long for Izuku to feel his shoulder starting to get damp, he broke the hug to see Melissa crying and asked, "Hey, hey, are you okay?"

"N-no, it's just you really scared me today. When I saw the state you were in I thought I was going to lose you again." Izuku felt terrible for making her worry this much so he wiped her tears. "Mel no matter what happens I'll always be right by your side and I won't let anything change that." Melissa stares into Izuku's eyes and he meets her gaze. 

Both begin to lean forward and meet with a kiss. Melissa put her arms around Izuku's neck as he moved his to her waist. They stay in that position for a couple of minutes before they break apart for some air. Izuku is the first to ask, "I guess this makes us official?" "I suppose it does." "On the bright side, Kat can finally stop teasing us." Melissa giggles. "Yeah, you're right about that."

"So do you want to stay over at my house?" Melissa grabs Izuku's hand. "I accept your offer." The new couple walked to Izuku's house while holding hands and enjoying each other's company. After minutes of walking, they arrive at Izuku's house, they enter the house. "Mom I'm home!" Inko says from the living room, "Welcome back!"

Inko comes to the entryway to see Izuku and Melissa holding hands. "So you two are finally together?" They both blush a bit before Izuku asks, "Wait you were waiting for us to get together?" Inko giggled. "I mean it was always a little obvious that you two liked each other." Izuku sighed. "Alright, then and to answer your first question yes we are."

Before Inko could say anything else Izuku snuck away to his room with Melissa. "Sorry, if we stayed any longer she would have kept us there asking questions." Melissa giggled. "Yeah nice save." "So do you want to watch a movie?" "Sure, but not a scary one this time." Izuku puts his hands up. "Okay Okay, how about an action movie?"

"Much better." They sat on the couch and watched the movie. A couple of hours later the movie ended but when Izuku looked over at Melissa he saw how she was asleep on his shoulder. Izuku carefully carried her bridal style without waking her up and placed her on his bed. Before he could go back to the couch he felt a tug at his shirt and then looked to see Melissa half awake. "Can you stay?"
