ring! ring! ring! .. .. .. ring! ring! I quickly turn off the alarm clock with a loud sigh, I wasn't ready to wake up yet but I knew I had to since we were going to the airport, but first let me fill you in with a bit of background information, im Amelia Browns and well, 2 days ago I had found out I would be competing in the USA ice hockey competitions, and I can't lie, I enjoy ice hockey but well, its not really my dream its more my dads, you see he wanted a son and he got a daughter instead, yeah he was disappointed but he still loves me to bits, and I guess i just want to make him proud.

knock knock knock .. .. "come in.." I mumble tiredly. it was my dad, "morning am, you ready for TEAM USA!!" he yells excitedly doing fist bumps in the air. "yeah I guess .. but.. what if they dont like me .. .. you know?" "of course they will like you! you are the kindest person I know, you always bring a smile to my face and to anyone who sees you, and hey, if someone doesn't like you, so what, you probably won't see them again and your here to play hockey not to create drama." my dad reassures me. "you're right, thank you, that means a lot to me" I reply with a small smile. he then walks out of my room and closes the door.

I emerge out of the house with my luggage, "is mum coming to the airport?" I ask. "sorry love she's at work, she sends her luck though." he says while patting my back "c'mon we dont want to be late for the airport .. you are going to USA for goodness sake!" he was right, I was over thinking again "yeah" I bluntly reply. I hopped into the front seat of our car, as my dad drove to the airport, its quite far from our house so I just put my walkman in and looked out the window.

when we arrived at the airport it was quiet and peaceful, I said goodbye to my dad and I got my ticket, put my luggage in the bagging area and hopped on the plain, I decided to read twilight this new book I purchased at the bookstore, it was about vampires? or something like that I can't really remember.
