Jin's POV.

"I wish he opened up to us more..."

The six boys were standing in the doorway of Namjoon's hotel room. They didn't know what had gotten into the leader lately, but everyone could feel it. The heavy sighs, the shaky smiles... It felt like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders and they had no clue what could be troubling him so much. They didn't even officially know something was wrong until earlier that day. So they watched as he slept, face still all red and swollen from his outburst, tear tracks still visible on his cheeks. His lips were parted and he snored softly, but his brows showed a troubled expression, unable to relax completely even in his slumber.

"Me too, hyung. Me too..."

**13 hours earlier**

Seokjin woke up in the hotel room he shared with Namjoon. They had played rock, paper, scissors to figure out who would sleep with whose room, and most importantly who would be the lucky winner with his own room. Hoseok had been the one to win. That left Jin and Namjoon to share a room, while Yoongi shared with the youngest and the soulmates were roommates for the current trip. They had flown to the states a few days ago and all the boys were very excited about it.  In a few hours, they would go to their first big international interview since their debut, surely that meant they were somewhat successful? They had also been invited to a big kpop event in Los Angeles, and that in itself felt surreal.  The show had gone well yesterday, and the seven members were buzzing with energy and everyone had big plans. Jimin was pretty bummed when he learned that half of the group wasn't allowed to drink yet as they were still considered underage in America, but that didn't stop him from planning their own afterparty for the next day. Namjoon had appeared relieved at the suggestion, saying he preferred to celebrate their progress surrounded only by the people "who get it". The others weren't sure what he had meant but agreed nonetheless.

So Seokjin woke up in their room to the sound of an alarm coming from his IPod, lost somewhere in the sheets. He turned around to find Namjoon already awake, eyes stuck to his phone and frowning.

"Namjoon-ah?"

"Oh, hyung. Didn't know you were awake!" he replied, genuine surprise showing on his face.

"Yeah, my alarm just went off, didn't you hear it?"

"What? No, no I didn't... well, good morning, hyung!"He sat up and stretched. Jin did the same.

"How long until we meet downstairs for breakfast?"

"Around 40 minutes." Jin answered. But his mind was somewhere else, thinking back to a few minutes ago. "Joonie, did you sleep well? How long have you been awake for?"

"Ohh.. around 20 minutes, don't worry about me, hyung.", he said quickly. Too quick. "Do you need the bathroom? I'm gonna go take a shower before we head downstairs."

And just like that, with a nod, the younger man was gone in the bathroom while Seokjin got his clothes out of his suitcase. He knew Namjoon had lied to him, and couldn't figure out why. But he decided not to push it and brushed it off as nerves or his dongsaeng having to take care of ...personal business. Who knew, but surely if Namjoon didn't tell him the whole truth, he must have had his reasons and Jin trusted him. When the rapper finally exited the bathroom, he greeted him with a smile and they got ready to leave. After a last round to make sure that neither of them had forgotten anything, they headed for the lifts and passed by Taehyung in the hallway. Jimin's late again. So yeah, it was a typical morning.

Hobi was the first to get there and, surprisingly, Yoongi and Jungkook were the last to join them. Something about the maknae being impossible to wake up and Jin smiles as Yoongi dramatically tells them about his many attempts to steer him awake. It was always nice to watch the boys banter around at breakfast. They had gone through a lot of things in the last years and had just celebrated their first official year in the industry, which had brought its own lot of challenges -but they had grown closer. Jimin had only been with them for a few months before they debuted and he proved himself to be a perfect addition to the group. The missing puzzle piece. Together, they had matured and grown up since then, and Seokjin found himself smiling as he looked at the six other members with pride. And then his eyes found Namjoon's profile, eyes still glued to his phone and he made a mental note to check on him later. It must be some leader duties they knew nothing about. The company often contacted him, it made sense that they would reach out even more often when they were  abroad. Right? -Right.
