"You did this!" Laufey yells, shooting to his feet and slamming a hand on the table as he watches his hallways flood with prisoners. Good job dove.

"What? I thought you enjoyed war father?" I say innocently.

"Guards!" He screams. I stand quickly.

"They are busy." I say, "just me and you." A look of fear and anger crosses the kings face before he lunges across the table at me knocking the glass of wine down.

I dart out of the way and he crashes to the floor. He quickly stands and draws his blade. "I thought we were bonding!" I grumble, wielding my daggers from mid air.

He lunges at me again slicing with his dagger for my stomach. I dodge and slam the butt of my dagger into his back as he tumbles past me. He yells out in anger and whirls around, slicing with his sword at my stomach. It slices a thin line across my ocean blue skin which quickly heals. I slide at him and cut a thin line of blood across his shoulder before he darts away. We fight like this again and again both swiping blows at each other only landing thin cuts or bruises with the backs of our blades.

As time goes on he becomes more aggressive, swiping at me with no tactics only rage fuelling his hits. He hits again and again and I grunt as I take the butt of his hit on my crossed daggers. He presses down harder until I'm leaning against the table holding his sword away from my face with much effort. I push back hard and we fall apart. I dart across the room to create some distance but he charges after me.

"I don't really feel like." I grunt out as I meet his blows, "killing my father!" I swipe at his face and a soft line of blood drizzles from his cheek.

He stumbles as I push him against the table my dagger at his throat. "Before I kill you I have one question." I say. "Why did you leave me there?" I ask. He fumbles. The doors swing open and both of us turn in surprise.

"Eve get out!" I yell. She yells out as my fathers blade shoots towards her.

"NO!" I scream. Pushing away and darting for my dove. She screams as the blade swipes against her skin. She falls back against the doorframe sinking down to the floor with the sword jutting out of her shoulder. Shock and anger flood through me as she slumps slightly staring up at me with wide eyes.

"Eve." I cry, sliding onto my knees beside her my hands hover above the sword not wanting to rip it out but unable to leave it in.

"Oh." She looks sideways at me. I'm hauled backwards by the giant, thrown onto the floor he faces me and picks up my dagger from the floor. My jewels are sprawled around and wrapped across my horns awkwardly. He spears my own weapon into my side and I scream out in pain. He hauls the sword from Eves shoulder. She screams and sinks back to the floor blood gushing from her shoulder staining her shirt. Probably many muscles ruined.

My father limps towards me his leg bleeding from one injury or another and his sword dripping with my lovers blood.

He points his sword down on me. I rip the dagger from my side and scamper across the floor, he lets out a growl of frustration as the door swings open again. Heimdall is there lifting Eve quickly. She screams as he presses a hand against her wound. Good, she's safe now.

I stumble away from my father and stare around the room. There. A wide open window staring out at the horizon. "Get her out of here!" I yell to Heimdall as I locate my second dagger.

My father turns back on me and we fight again, slashing and swiping at each other. I grunt as he slams the handle of his weapon into my face sending me stumbling towards the window. He follows after me taking advantage of my weakness and slashing a deep cut along my arm. I cry out and lean against the window for support. He appears behind me slamming his handle into my stomach again and again.

I grip the blade of the sword and rip it from his hands and jar him between me and the window. Cold blood runs along my palms and down the blade. I take the sword and press the tip to my stomach. He yells and squirms behind me but I hold him still.

I look up as I spear the sword. Straight through myself. Into him. We both scream as the window cracks. I look up again making direct eye contact with my dove. Thor appears beside her and nods shortly at me tears staining his eyes. He understands.

The scream that rips from Eves throat shatters my entire world and then some. She lunges forward out of Heimdalls arms and races towards me. Heimdall doesn't stop her and I almost hate him for it.

She's to late.

I'm falling with my fathers thrashing body behind me and I squeeze my eyes shut and when I open them I'm a meter from the ground. Evelyn is above me staring down on her knees sobbing.

I smile at her.

She doesn't smile back.
