The ARRANGEMENT

"Hmmm, actually there is." – He starts

"Am. What?" Penelope, still biting her lips listening to him.

"You know it's my birthday this Sunday, tomorrow in fact." – Colin

"And?" – Penelope

There's a knock on the door, Martina opens the door to handed over the dress of Penelope.

"Here you go Sir." – Martina.

"Thank you, Martina." – Penelope smiling to her.

"And thank you for changing my clothes last night." – Penelope

Martina with a wrinkled forehead, trying to say something.

"That will be all Martina. Thank you." – Colin cut-in and handed the dress to Penelope.

"Your mom on the phone." – Martina handed the phone to Colin.

Martina left and closed the door.

"Hey mom, how are you?" – Colin grinning and he already knows about this call.

"I'm ok dear." – Violet sounding excited and eager to say something.

"If you're calling about tomorrow, I will be there." – Colin

"Actually, hmmmm. Martina told me you have visitor right now?" – Violet smiling widely. She knows who it is, Martina already given the name of his guest.

"You know her." – Colin handed the phone to Penelope.

"I want to talk to her." Her mother insists.

"Ok." Colin hand over the phone to Penelope.

Penelope blush and wave her hands, not wanting to answer or get the phone. But still Colin gave the phone to her, given no choice to answer the call.

"Hi, Violet." – Penelope answered shyly, and she knows she is blushing.

"Oh, Penelope, hello. How are you." – Violet excited and delighted aware that the lady that she adores is with his son right now. She likes Penelope the moment she was introduced by Eloise on one of the family's occasion or mostly part of the family's gathering. Eloise will constantly drag her, bring her to the gathering.

"Am doing great, and you how are you." – Penelope asked politely.

"Good, so you are coming tomorrow with Colin, right?" – Violet

"That would be wonderful, see you both tomorrow." – Violet, not waiting for Penelope to answer.

"Oh." the only thing she can say.

"Great! Bye." – Violet ended the call.

Colin looks at Penelope, she looks so shocked and astonished.

"She's expecting me to be there tomorrow." She speaks. While Colin just chuckles, he knows this will be happening, mother he has is the most infuriating and always gets what she wants. One of the qualities that most of his siblings has.

"Well, that was fast." – Colin the only thing he can say.

Penelope just bites her lower lips. She has no intention of going.

"When I went downstairs, Martina is already talking to my mother. All about me having a visitor. As you know and all my family are aware that I never invited anyone her except them, my family. So, knowing Martina, she will report it to my mother. And knowing my mother she will interrogate about it." – Colin

"I still don't know if I'm her boss or my mother." Colin continues while grinning.

"Okay." All she can say.
