Brahms Heelshire
Work has officially started for you. It's been four days since you arrived at the Heelshire Manor as a housekeeper. Malcom has called every night and checked in on you. Even during your first night, he called. You ended up falling asleep on the phone of him explaining the history of the mansion.

It's been quiet. Very quiet. You haven't even seen Brahms since your first day here. All the rooms had been checked, and there was no sign of him staying in either room. Again, Malcom did slip up and say he was unusual. The only places you haven't peeked in where the basement and attic, only because they were off limits to you.

Today, you were in the library. You went through piles of books, dusted them off, shined their covers, and stacked them in alphabetical order once the shelves were wiped clean.

You hummed as you did a routine of grabbing a book or two, stepping onto a step-stool, and placing a the novel on the shelf. Over and over you constantly did this motion. Over and over, Brahms watched you from the doorway.

Just because you haven't seen him around didn't mean he wasn't lurking. Little by little, Brahms made his way over to you, until he eventually stood right behind you. He was going to reach for a book and hand to you, but you caught him in the act and screamed. Out of fright, your reaction was to turn away. When you did, your foot slipped off the tiny step-stool. You had trouble balancing on it already.

You tensed as you headed for the ground. Luckily, you didn't smack against the hard flooring. Brahms caught you, and he quickly, yet gently, placed you on the ground. He squatted down after taking a few steps back. He gave you personal space.

As startled as you were, you were also flattered by his gesture. Kind that was of him. You and Brahms has a stare down, until he looked away to grab a book. He looked at the cover, then reached out to give you the book. "Thank you," you said softly. Brahms nodded, then handed you other. That's when you smiled.

"Are these all your books?" you asked him. Brahms nodded. Only this time he shook his head quicker. "You really love to read, huh? I do too. I've never read this much before, but I'd like to." Brahms didn't mutter a word. He definitely wasn't talkative.

Brahms tilted his head when he noticed you admiring a cover of a book you had put aside. It was on the ground and separated from a neatly stacked pile of books. "I plan on reading that one tonight. I hope I do anyway. I procrastinate," you chuckled.

An idea popped into your head. A strange one at that. You smiled at Brahms, who had been staring at you. "Um, if I read that book, is it okay if I read out loud? Maybe to you?" You wanted an answer from him. An vocal answer. Sadly, you didn't receive one.

Brahms didn't even nod to you. Instead, he stood up, as if he was going to run off. He didn't though. He went to the book and picked it up, then handed it to you and sat back down again. He sat beside you, and you began to gaze upon the very noticeable details about him.

Like for one, how fluffy his hair was. Not only on his head, but his chest and facial hair that grew out from his shirt and mask. You then looked into his eyes. How pretty they were. When you felt like you were studying him for far too long, you gazed back down at the cover of the book. It was by your favorite author too. It's why you were drawn to this particular novel.

"Are you wanting me to read now? I'm working, you know?" you wondered. Brahms bowed his head. He seemed upset, and that's something you weren't comfortable with. "Okay!" you cheered. Brahms jolted when you yelled out like that, but he didn't overreacted like you did. "Well, I'll read a chapter a day, how about that? I do have to work though. I'll count this as my break," you said.

Again, you flashed Brahms a smile. He turned his head to the side and became fascinated by you grinning at him. Little did he know, a friendship has blossomed between the two of you.
