Cheryl's POV
I always wake up before Toni. She loves to sleep in even though we have school. I wake up a little extra early today and decided to make her favorite-blueberry pancakes, because she has a big test today. I start making the batter and everything when I feel two hands grab my waist. I tense up for a second before I realize it's my girlfriend. 

"Hey baby." She says kissing my cheek. 

"Hey T.T" 

"Whatcha making?" She asks still hugging me while I flip what is obviously a pancake. 

"Your favorite blueberry pancakes." I say. 

"Why do I have the best girlfriend in the world?" she asks. I laugh. 

"Your awesome girlfriend is going to remind you not to be late for your test." 

"I can just skip and take it tomorrow." She says. 

"No, because if you miss it I'll be living with Betty for the week and avoid you at school." 

"Cheryl." She groans nuzzling her face into my neck "Ugh fine."

"That's what I thought." I said grabbing the plates and sitting down to eat. 

...

It was lunch, right after Toni's test so I was standing beside her locker. 

"Blossom wanna take a ride to my house?" Reggie asks in his usual douche tone. 

"Why would I want to do that Mantle?" I snap back. 

"Because you look lonely and I have a special way of cheering girls up." He says getting closer to me. 

"I'm waiting for my girlfriend you male prostitute." I say trying to push him away. 

"But she stood you up and abandoned you, plus if your talking about pink, she was talking to another girl right down the hall." 

Was he right? Did Toni want to move on from me? No, he couldn't be, Toni and I talked an hour ago. While my mind wandered as to where Toni was Reggie switched his body position so that he's pushing me up against the locker. 

"You know what? This hallway's pretty quiet." He says trying to kiss me. 

"Get off me!" I say trying to push him with the little body strength I have and with my back pack weighing me backwards. 

He tries to kiss me a few more times with me dodging and pushing him. 

"Mantle? Get off her man!" I hear Fangs yell as him and Sweetpea run towards us. 

Sweetpea slams him up against a locker while Fangs picks up my phone and wallet both of which I dropped. 

"Don't touch her again mantle." Sweetpea says sucker punching Reggie. He tries to get back up but sweetpea shoves him back down. 

"Cheryl are you ok?" Fangs asks. 

"Ya, thank you for helping me." I say tearing up. 

"Anytime, but why are you crying?" 

"Toni is going to be mad at me." I say looking at the floor. 

"No she won't." 

"Well she's late so she's probably already mad. Plus Reggie said she was talking to some girl in the hall and not that I take his word for it but she could leave me for any person in the school Fangs." 

"Toni sent me and Pea so you wouldn't worry about her, she just needed to talk to her English teacher and didn't know how long she would be." He says. "Plus she smashed her phone." 

"What did she do this time?" I ask. 

"She was playing a game and Jughead messed her up so she threw her phone at him and it smashed." 

I just shake my head and let out a little chuckle. 

"Hey princess." I hear as someone hugs me from behind and kisses my cheek. 

"Hey T.T." I say trying to sound happy. 

"Cher, what's wrong why are you crying?" She asks. 

"Nothing." I quickly say. 

"I can tell her Cheryl." Fangs says. 

Toni crosses her arms in front of her and stands diagonal of me and Fangs. 

"ReggieMantlewastryingtokissmeandItriedtofighthimoffbutcouldntsotheboyshadtosaveme." I said quickly. 

"He did what?!" She asks angrily. 

"I'm sorry." I say looking at the floor. 

"Cher, you have nothing to be sorry about, I kinda had a suspicion something happened, he came up to me in the hall and said 'say hi to your girlfriend for me' but he had a black eye so I was worried when I was walking down here. Are you sure you're ok?"

"Better now that you're here." I smile hugging her. 

"Baby I'm always going to protect you ok? And I'm always going to believe what you're telling me." She whispers in my ear. 

"I know Toni, thank you." 

"Every time baby." She kisses me on the forehead and grabs my hand. "Lunch?"

Toni's POV
It was time for dinner and we have no food. 

"Cher, babe, let's just go to Pops." 

"Ok." She says finishing her homework and packing up. 

We get into her car and I drive. 

"Cher, are you ok?" I ask putting my hand on her thigh.

"fine." She smiles then turning her head to look out the window. 

"Cheryl, babe I know when something bothering you." 

"I'm just nervous, I was thinking you were mad at me for earlier in the hallway." She sighs. 

"Cher, I told you I wasn't, I know that wasn't your fault." I say. 

I lightly rub her thigh and smile at her as we pull into Pops diner. 

"Look at me babe." I say parking the car. 

"I love you, I don't blame you ok?" I say looking into her eyes. 

"I love you too Toni." She says with a soft smile. 

We walk in and sit down at our regular booth and share a milkshake.
