Four years ago... It's already been four years, huh. I guess when your Spider-Man, time can sure go by fast. I remember struggling with web-swinging, having stuff constantly sticking to my hands, and overall having to live two different lives. Being Spider-Man and Izuku Midoriya sure has its ups and downs, especially at the beginning. But now being Spider-Man is just like breathing to me. And hey, four years without anyone figuring me out as well. I guess I'm just too good at this hero stuff. In the end, being a nerd with a love for superhero manga really paid off! I should treat myself for this four year anniversary. Both Spider-Man and Deku deserve it!
Izuku smiled to himself, finishing his daily scroll through Instagram before shutting off his phone and hopping off his bed.
He made his way to his closet, grabbing a yellow backpack, and bring it back over to his bed. Once it was unzipped, revealed inside was a folded red and black suit with a spider logo being visible.
With a smile, he pulled it out and started to put it on. However, it didn't go on easily. He hopped around trying to get his other leg into his suit with his mask was being carried by his teeth.
"Phuu'd phink phoing dis phor phour eears phould ake dis isasier!" Deku joked, his words distorted from the mask hanging from his mouth.
With a few more hops, he pulled the suit up to his chest before slipping from being imbalanced.
"I can take down villains with ease but putting on my own suit causes me to fall down more than a punch to the face." He joked.
He decided to slip his arms through the sleeves of his costume on the floor, but once he was done, he jumped back on his feet with his fists against his hips and a heroic smile. He had to do a hero pose every time he got into costume. He thought he looked cool... But he looked like a dork.
The hero walked over to his desk. It was full of papers with designs of his web-shooters, costumes, and various other tech designs. The wall behind it also had ripped out notebook pages with all of his drawings throughout the years. He finally had a space of his own without worrying about his mother walking in and seeing his stuff.
Along with drawing were sticky notes, reminding him of important tasks and dates that had to do with his Izuku Midoriya life, but most of them went unnoticed, forgotten, or remembered last minute. Then again, Izuku was a professional at working under pressure. He just wished he only had to deal with that as Spider-Man. Oh well.
His laptop displayed his work schedule for his part-time job that he was always late to. Luckily, his boss liked the pictures he was able to take for him, so he didn't mind the tardiness all that much. Hence, the camera that laid right next to the laptop.
But, in the middle of all the mess were black bracelets. To a normal person, they seemed like they were normal jewelry. In reality, they were the source of Izuku's webs. Izuku had fun designing them, not so much fun having to make the web formula. It got everywhere! Everywhere. But in the end, he was proud of his invention. But, a part of him wished the webs just came out of his body. Another power-up similar to his eyesight, which caused him to no longer need his glasses, as well as his body, getting buff overnight with the bonus of having super strength, and how could he forget his spider-sense that helped him dodge bullets and punches... Most of the time. He couldn't complain though. No one but him could say they had a good experience with being bitten by a spider after all.
He slipped on his web-shooters, adjusting them on his wrists and activating them, "Can't forget these. After all, how else can I get around town? Cars are too expensive, buses are too crowded... This is just more efficient."
He raised a hand up to his head, grabbing for his mask to pull it down. Only, he figured out after a couple more grabs, it wasn't there. He looked around and found it on the ground.
