Chapter 3-The Activation...Maybe?
My eyes widened when I saw the size of the school. It. Is. HUGE! I've never seen, nor attended a school so large... Grigori laughed at my expression. From the view I got the school seemed as wide as a couple football fields. It looked like it had about four floors, and it probably stretched back. I was astonished at the size of the school, but I was probably so shocked because I attended small schools all my life...
"Only seen schools this big in movies right?" he said, snapping me out of my trans. I looked at him and nodded.
"It reminds me of Hogwarts... Just, less 'wizardy'..." I told him.
"Yeah, it doesn't have all of the moving and talking pictures... And it's not as old fashioned, very futuristic... Everything around here is futuristic," he said and I thought that was awesome. But I kinda figured when I first got here because it was a lot different than from what I'm used to.
"So, where do we start?" I asked him as we walked through the front doors. He pulled some sort of schedule up on his watch. It looked like a school schedule. He grabbed my wrist and tapped the screens together, and then it popped up on my watch. I studied the schedule and it listed 10 periods... I looked at him confused. "10? Why are there 10 periods??" I asked him.
"Math, science, history, English, resource, training, lessons about your power, and then three electives of your choice. Red already picked yours for some reason... He gave you two art classes and one creative writing class,"
"Wow, he picked ones that I would've picked... Does he know me?"
"Apparently... He does the same for me and gets them right every year, but then again I am his son so..."
"Wait, Red's your dad?!"
"Yeah, can't you tell?"
"No."
"Oh, well he's my dad..."
"How old is he?"
"Um, I think like 41..."
"And you're..."
"18."
"So he had you at 23?"
"Yup."
"Wow, that's cool." I said. I was thinking about asking about his mom, but I don't see any evidence of her even existing so I'll leave that question out... It's none of my business anyhow so I shouldn't...
"Yup, so let's go show you your classes," he said and began to walk and I followed. "Let me read aloud your classes," he said and he went down the list one by one.
