Warriors: 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘰𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘻𝘢𝘳𝘥 (Book 3)

𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐬 (𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟗)

Nighttime strikes, the blizzard has settled for now. The group stayed the same cave all day, Oleander'paw and Emerald'gaze was the only one awake. Talons fled around the mountains, looking for food for the small group. Everyone just cuddled up and slept beside the fire. Emerald'gaze just stayed up, he was still traumatized what he had saw. Oleander'paw didn't bother sleeping, he have been practicing his powers lately, but everytime he shoots water it just freezes.

They both just look at the half covered solar eclipse in the sky, there was also orange in the sky resembling fire. "They're probably fighting.." Emerald'gaze said, Oleander'paw blinked, he spotted something dark in the sky. "Hey I think there's something in the sky!" Oleander'paw said, Emerald'gaze turned to his direction. "Hm?" Oleander'paw pointed his paw up the sky, Emerald'gaze squinted his eyes. He widened his eyes and used his green ice to shield the cave before the shadows launched in. 

Emerald'gaze and Oleander'paw fell back, the others wide awakened. The dark forest cats have arrived, 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙠𝙤 is here. Along with the traitor, 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙯𝙚'𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧. Emerald'gaze knew it was over, he couldn't fight them since they're only ghosts. Hail'cloud kept the others behind her, Ferret'hop stopped as she look at Bronze'Star in horror. Saiko laughed as the others surrounded the group. "𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭, 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯, Emerald'gaze" he said, Emerald'gaze start to get those flashbacks when he first seen that cat. Saiko glared at him, he growled. "𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬? 𝘖𝘳 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘵."

"He's not a scaredy cat!" Oleander'paw stood up, his eyes start to glow.

"𝘖𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘯, 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯'𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘢𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦?" Saiko glared at Oleander'paw, he then walked closer, Emerald'gaze hissed as he swipe a paw. Saiko stepped back a little further. Hail'cloud stepped in front of Emerald'gaze and hissed, lashing her tail aggressively. "Why are YOU here?" Saiko grinned, his scarlet eyes glared at Hail'cloud. "𝘛𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦! 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘺. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘥. 𝘚𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘺𝘰𝘶." He glared at Emerald'gaze.

"NO, we will not give him to you!" One'paw said, Milk'paw, and Dusk'paw stood up too. Saiko turned at the apprentices. "𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴? 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘧𝘧." Emerald'gaze hissed at him, his eyes faded to emerald green. The green ice appeared around him. "𝘿𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩." Saiko looked at him, he laughed. "𝘖𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵?" He said it in a taunting way, his eyes glowed red, Emerald'gaze start to act up for some reason. He felt some sharp pain around his body. He unsheathed his claws and start to scream.

Ferret'hop stepped backwards, seeing Emerald'gaze rolled around in her direction. Emerald'gaze start to scream in pain and agony. "𝘼𝙍𝙂𝙃𝙃𝙃𝙃 𝙎𝙏𝙊𝙋!" He said, the others couldn't do anything since their next move would be instant death. But Hail'cloud and the heirs had to do something. Hail'cloud pounced at Saiko, Saiko turned around and slashed her face. Ferret'hop stepped back, she knew she had to do something. She stepped in front of the apprentices, Saiko turned at Bronze'Star giving him a nod.

"𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛𝙛." He ordered, Bronze'Star stepped up. Ferret'hop looked at the golden cat coming towards her. She squealed like a mouse. "Comet no..." Bronze'Star had tears in his eyes, but he had to do it. He raised a paw, and closed his eyes. "𝙄'𝙢 𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙..." He said. Suddenly a screech came from the sky, a hawk tackled Saiko down, the hawk changed back into Talons. His flames made Bronze'Star and the other dark forests backing up. Ferret'hop and the apprentices ran towards Emerald'gaze and Hail'cloud 

Saiko widened his eyes, he looked at his son. "𝙔-𝙔𝙤𝙪!?" Talons growled as he hold his his neck. "𝘈𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯, 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳." He said, Saiko then slashed Talons' face, Talons roared in pain. "𝘼𝙏𝙏𝘼𝘾𝙆!" Saiko screamed, the dark forests charged at Talons except Bronze'Star for some reason. Talons turned into a hawk again and breathed fire around them, causing a fire in the cave making the smoke. He then surrounded the group. "𝘐'𝘓𝘓 𝘛𝘌𝘓𝘌𝘗𝘖𝘙𝘛 𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘈𝘓𝘓 𝘛𝘖 𝘈 𝘋𝘐𝘍𝘍𝘌𝘙𝘌𝘕𝘛 𝘗𝘓𝘈𝘊𝘌!" He said, Emerald'gaze cried. "WHAT ABOUT YOU!?" He said.

"𝘋𝘖𝘕'𝘛 𝘞𝘖𝘙𝘙𝘠 𝘈𝘉𝘖𝘜𝘛 𝘔𝘌!" He said, he then use his fire to teleport them all far away from the cave, he didn't go with them since his job was the defend. Somehow it made them all separate, midway Hail'cloud and the apprentices disappeared to another forest, leaving Emerald'gaze with Ferret'hop. Emerald'gaze screamed seeing the apprentices and Hail'cloud disappear. He and Ferret'hop then fall into a hill, Emerald'gaze slid through the rocky hill. He then landed onto the snow in front of a cabin.

Ferret'hop slid after, landing beside him. She woke up seeing the cabin, she turned to Emerald'gaze and started panicking. "Emerald'gaze!? EMERALD'GAZE!" She shrieked, her shrieks were heard by a family of cats inside the cabin, a blue eyed tabby with his mate came out. He looked at Ferret'hop and Emerald'gaze, he recognized them. He walk close to the crying she. "Ferret'hop?" Ferret'hop look up at the tom, he used to be in AirClan with her during Bronze'star's reign. She noticed he looked similar. She blurted out his name. "Cold'eyes?"

"Frostbite now...what are you doing here?" Frostbite asked, he then look at Emerald'gaze. "Oh no..." he said, he turned to his mate, who was brown Egyptian mau breed. "EDITH! HELP ME GET HIM IN! HE'S KNOCKED OUT COLD!" Edith quickly helped Frostbite getting Emerald'gaze into the cabin. Ferret'hop followed them in. There was already a heater going in the cabin. Their 3 kits watched them bringing the cats in. Edith already prepared a bunch of blankets for Emerald'gaze to warm up beside another heater at the corner. The two Egyptian maus Petal and Icicle provided them blankets.

"You two must be hungry, want some of the cat food?" Edith said. "I actually prefer rabbits..." Ferret'hop said, an another brown Egyptian mau kit named Smokey dropped a headless rabbit beside Ferret'hop. Ferret'hop nodded as a sign of thank you. She then start to eat it, Edith and Frostbite sat down in the couch. The TV was on, it was talking about the blizzard rampaging through the city. Frostbite turned to Ferret'hop and asked. "So what are you doing here?" Ferret'hop blinked. "It's a long story..." she said. 

"Bronze'Star?" Frostbite looked at her.

"Even worse, but say...why did you give up your clan life?" Ferret'hop asked.

"Same thing." Frostbite said, he then lay down on the couch. His kits and Edith laid with him.

"Eh, Understandable." Ferret'hop said. 

 she looked at the floor, and then at Emerald'gaze. She walked over and slept beside him to keep him warm. Emerald'gaze opened his eye and looked at Ferret'hop. He then wrap his arm around her.
