so, I've come to the realization that I am very sleep deprived. LMAO, my body has no interest in sleeping at a normal schedule. Oh well, enjoy this chapter.

Monica woke up on the Quinjet, but no one else was there. She rose and walked over to the pilot's seat up front, where Captain America was piloting the jet, where he should've been piloting the jet. But he wasn't there. In fact, when she looked out the window, they weren't even in the air at all. She was in the hangar at the Hydra base. The Hydra base where she was kept a few years back, where he trained her.

"Shit." Monica ran out of the jet and into the stuffy base. Bolting down empty halls and taking turns, not knowing where she was going, just trying to find someone. As she rounded the turn that she remembered leading to the labs, a cold arm shot out and seized her by the neck, throwing her into a wall harshly.

She looked up to see him, left arm still completely metal greased brown hair covering his cold eyes. Her body trembled as he pulled the gun from his holster, pointing it down at Monica. Something shifted and he was dragging her into the laboratory. The sight before her drew out a piercing scream. Blood was everywhere, it painted the walls, coated the floor and pooled around the dozen bodies sprawled about. Captain America with a gunshot wound to the head. The other Avengers as well. The twins with their throats slit.

"No! What did you do?!" She spun around to find the gun pointed at her once again.

"This was your fault, Agent, you led me to them." The Winter Soldier's eyes were emotionless as always. He cocked the gun and squeezed the trigger.

Her eyes shot open, they were still on the Quinjet back to the Avengers tower. Thank god. Pietro sat across from her, looking concerned. She looked next to her at Wanda who had the same expression as her brother. Then at Captain America who was flying the plane. They were okay. It was just a dream.

She calmed her ragged breathing as Wanda opened her mouth. "You know you talk in your sleep right?" Monica's face paled at this.

"O-oh, what was I saying?"

"You were muttering about 'The Winter Soldier'." This time it was Roger's who spoke. "You know him?"

"Do you?" She tilted her head to the side, knitting my brows together. He was looking at Monica hopefully.

Clearing his throat, he shook his head. "We've been looking for him since SHIELD fell, that's all." it definitely wasn't all. He knew him, somehow. "How do you know him?"

Monica pointed to the Hydra symbol on the left bicep of her suit. "Hydra agent, remember? Which, if we're going into the Avenger's tower, maybe I shouldn't have this on my suit." She ripped it away from the material and dropped it to the ground. Now that she thought about it, she felt gross. She hadn't showered in about a week. Monica shivered at the thought.

They walked through the base, heading for what she assumed was Stark's lab. They burst through the doors, it was messier than she expected it to be. There were papers everywhere, coffee cups and food wrappers and not to mention the huge cradle, hooked up to a bunch of tubes.

"Shut it down." Captain America's voice echoed across the lab, Stark and Banner's heads snapped up towards them.

"Not happening." The billionaire continued to press buttons and type in codes. This idiot really wants to bring it to life? Monica thought to herself.

"That thing could destroy the city, and then some! Do you really want to end the world?" Monica spoke up. "You already failed with Ultron, what's next? Something that can't be defeated."

"You don't know what you're talking about, kid." Tony shot her a quick look before going back to his computer.

"We're trying to help people, to defeat Ultron." Bruce said. "I can understand if you don't get that."

"What's coming is nothing compared to what we've faced, Cap." Tony added. "We need this, we can't fight Ultron alone."

Monica was about to speak before a blue blur zipped through the room, leaving their stuff all in disarray on the floor. The tubes were all unplugged and when Pietro stopped by Banner, he held one in his hand. "No no, go on. You were saying?" He had a smug look on his face before suddenly, he was sent crashing through the glass floor.

"Maximoff!" Monica leaned over the hole in the ground to see Hawkeye, she jumped down onto him. She wrapped her legs around his neck and flung herself backwards, sending him onto his back as she flipped off of him. In a second, Monica was clinging onto the Maximoff with her head in his chest as he ran full speed through the halls. She felt like if she moved, she'd throw up.

A few minutes later, they stopped in a lounge. There was shattered glass everywhere as if a fight had broken out and the Avengers were all crowded around the red body that was now very much alive.

Monica looked up at Pietro. "Don't do that again." She jabbed a finger to his chest as he set her down, laughing. "I'm serious Maximoff, I feel sick." not to mention her legs felt like jelly.

"You'll be fine."

"Are you on our side?" Captain America asked as they walked into their conversation.

"I'm on the side of life, Ultron isn't." The robot explained. "So he has to be stopped, and we'll need each other to do that. I don't want to kill Ultron, he's in pain. But I know he won't stop until the human race is extinct."

"Okay, so where is he at?" Tony asked. "He obviously wants us somewhere, he needs us gone first."

"Sokovia, he's keeping Nat there too." Clint answered, walking into the room.

"We need to go." The red man said, handing Thor his hammer. Everyone's jaws were on the floor as the god took it and patted Stark on the shoulder.

Captain America shook his head lightly. "Everyone, three minutes. Get ready, get what you need."

Monica walked down the halls, looking for the twins when Tony Stark stopped her. "Here come with me for a moment would ya?" She frowned, but followed him back into an extension to his lab. "I don't think fighting in Sokovia in a Hydra suit is a very good idea, so, I have something you can borrow."

Monica leaned on a counter and nodded. "Why?... Are you giving me a suit?"

"Well, we're going to Sokovia to stop an international event, so I think you pulling up with a Hydra suit that's covered in dry blood will start a whole new one."

She sighed. "Yeah, I guess."

He rummaged around the lab. "So, do you have anyone to be reunited with after this?" He pressed a button on a remote and a closet, I think, opened up with a bunch of suits in it.

"Uhh, no. I don't." She answered, kicking her foot at nothing. "I was taken from a hospital, I guess. It was raided. I was told my parents were killed. Either way, I don't know them."

"Well, you and the twin terrors are welcome to stay with us." He motioned her over and she stared at a suit similar to Black Widows. "I designed it for Natasha but it was just a little too long in the legs and arms for her, so I figured you could wear it."

"Yeah, yeah thank you." She exhaled at the suit. It looked so cool, if she was honest.

Monica changed into it and put a gun in each of the holsters and a knife in each of her boots. It fit her like a glove, it was a sleek black with a belt at the waist with an hourglass at the center. It reminded Monica of the Red Room. It had compartments in the belt that she put some ammo in. When she found the twins, they were in the room next to her, getting ready to walk out. Monica fell into step with them as they walked to the Quinjet where Rogers was handing out earpieces.
