3rd Pov
Jake smiled at Michael before speaking, "Well I was actually thinking that we and I mean you and me Mikey. Should go on a date! Since you have been cooped up in your room this whole time why not we go out and have some fun?"
Michael nods quickly gulping as he felt nervous all of a sudden as Jake grabs his hand pulling out of the house. They walked to Jake's car and drove off before saying bye to Laurie as she waves at them. The drove lasted only a few minutes as they got to a small park.
"So I was thinking that we could have a nice stroll in the park. Then maybe get something food to eat even some ice cream if you want. As well as we could visit the library to see what books they have. Maybe they are holding any horror themed story's or something about the boogeyman." Jake joked at the end hope to ease the slightly awkward tension between the two.
Michael nods once more smiling for the first time in those 3 months making Jake feel proud of himself. "Now where should we go first? We could visit the pond and feed the ducks, or immediately get ice cream instead and sit on the closest bench near by."
"Ice cream and going to the pond to feed the ducks would be nice." Michael whispered so quietly that Jake almost didn't even hear what he had said. "Oh wonderful idea Mikey then gets some ice cream Then!" Jake cheers dragging Michael along with him to the ice cream truck.
Once they got their ice cream they quickly walked of to the pond to see the ducks. Jake grabs two bags of seeds and gave one to Michael so that they both can feed the ducks while eating their ice cream. It was peaceful. Michael actually enjoyed himself as he finishes off his treat and began to feed the little ducklings that began to surround his legs in hopes of being offered any food.
Chuckling at the fluffy, feathery friends Michael poured a few seeds into his hand and leads down on his knees so that they can peck at the seeds. He kept his hand steady and still only flinching slightly as ducks went to hard on his hand. Jake laughed at Michael while doing the same but he had gloves on.
"Well next time try to bring hand wear when feeding the ducks Mickey I hear that they can be quite peckish." Jake says turning it into a pun while his laughter only grew. Michael laughed along with him at the very bad pun.
Soon they where finished feeding the adorable yellow cricketers before walking off to the library.
