July 25th 1991
It was a day before Neville's birthday and two before Harry's.
Both boys heard the thumping footsteps of Harry's cousin Dudley.
"Wake up you two we're going to the zoo!'
Then they heard Petunia Dursley banging on the cupboard door.
"You boys better wake up and make breakfast" they heard her say.
Getting out of the crammed cupboard they head to the kitchen to start making breakfast for the Dursley's.
"C'mon Harry you make the bacon and I'll make the eggs" Neville yawned.
After they made breakfast the Dursleys are and got ready to go to the zoo with Piers Polkiss for Dudley's birthday.
"The babysitter's arm broke and she can't take care of Neville and Harry." Petunia frowned.
"No! I don't want them to come! They ruin everything!" Dudley complained.
"Well we can't leave them here alone they'll burn the place down!" Vernon exclaimed. "One sneaky trick outta either of you and both of you will be locked in the cupboard for the rest of the week."
"Yes sir" both boys said synonymously.
They all arrived at the zoo and started looking around.
Harry found the snake enclosure and ushered Neville over.
"Look at it Neville" Harry said "I wonder what it's family is like"
"The sign says 'bred in captivity' " Neville pointed out.
The two boys didn't know if they were delusional or not but they could've sworn they could understand the snake.
"Dudley, Mr Dursley the snake is moving!!" Piers exclaimed.
Dudley rushed over his father not close behind, shoving Harry and Neville to the ground.
The two but especially Harry was upset at this, they both stared at the glass surrounding the terrarium of the snake.
They were certain they were delusional now, the glass disappeared and Dudley and Piers fell right in.
The snake slithered right out and nodded at Harry and Neville.
Petunia Dursley came rushing after him, trying to get him out, but the glass reappeared enclosing them into the snake's former terrarium.
After they got back from the zoo, Vernon Dursley grabbed both of them by the hair and pulled them into the cupboard.
"I warned you two about the consequences of your actions!" He snarled. "I don't know what you two did or how you did it but neither of you will get a meal for the next week"
"But it was like magic" Harry started.
"And neither of us could control it" Neville finished.
"ENOUGH!" Vernon exclaimed shoving them into the cupboard.
Both of them fell asleep wondering if what they had saw was a dream
