summer

when you were there,
i didn't enjoy you like i should've;
now that you're gone
i miss you, i need you.

i can't wait to have you;
i feel like a kid,
i need to be free.
i miss the sleepless nights, looking outside.

a sunset, and its already night;
i close my eyes,
i hear the chirping of birds
it went by so fast i barely caught my breath.

talking, laughing, freedom. i miss it.
this monotony,
it makes me sick;
i want to escape,
how much longer do i have to wait?
