LITTLE BUTCHER
Said my daughter was evil; someone no nine lives could save.

The police run through the cabin and find some speakers and recording equipment. However, only Laura's voice and testimony are left on it. A knife with Alan's fingerprints on it is also found in the kitchen. A luminol test shows that is it coated with blood. Further testing showed that the blood belongs to several human victims that were previously declared missing. Some of these bodies are found in the graveyard, half-buried or half-eaten by wild beasts. The females are all missing certain body parts. The other bodies are never found. At this, Alan is declared a serial killer, and the case is handed over to the relevant police branch.

As soon as Laura hears this, the blood drains from her face. Her legs give in. She tells Sebastian everything: about Alan's alter self, about the recent abuse she'd been living with, about the night trips Alan had been taking, and about her decision to file for divorce. A sullen mood settles over the room. Sebastian's blood boils. His 10-year partner had been so wronged while he was watching, unaware of anything. He picks up his equipment and his gun, and he heads to the car, calling for his partner to accompany him. They head to Cleftmine woods.

No matter how fast they go, the trip feels very long. When they finally reach the cabin, the officers show them to the graveyard, where at least 9 bodies are covered with a cloth. Their times of death vary, but they are mostly teenagers or young adults. "What about Haze? Have they found her yet?" asks Laura, her breath caught in her lungs.

"No, there's no news about her yet." says one officer.

"Here, I found something," shouts another, a little distance away.

Laura follows the voice to a piece of scraped dirt, where a trap door was previously hiding. Sebastian pushes the officer aside and pulls the trap door open. It's dark inside. He cannot imagine that someone would be hiding inside. He turns on his flashlight and jumps down. The place is very cramped, and he can only crawl deeper. From inside the tunnel, he hears something.
