“Hey! Taxi!” School was done…. For the weekend. I take classes and live on Campus. No, I’m not college age, I’m actually 16, it’s just I’m smart enough to attend classes here and I have no other real home, or one that I can rely on at least.

An older looking taxi drove up to the curb dangerously near to coming up on the curb but I climbed in ignoring the fact that I may be jumping into a dangerous driver’s car. “The apartments on Jackson Rail.” I said without hesitation and without looking at the driver.

I looked out the window and examined the cloud that looked as though it was capable of destroying the world. It was a large, dark cloud that dominated the sky.

I got carried away, looking at the threatening sky; I only just realized the unfamiliar sights. “Uh, I don’t think you are going th-” I said leaning forward.

I swore. “What the heck are you doing!?” I yelled/asked the familiar figure, Will. He glanced back at me. “Took you long enough to notice.” He ignored my question.  I unbuckled and scooted over to the door and of course, the child lock was on. Brilliant. I swore again.

The car pulled over and for a second I had hope. Maybe he was going to let me go!? But I was soon back in the state of ‘no hope what-so-ever’. Two more guys entered the car. One in the passenger’s seat and the other next to me.

“I see you found the little fox.” Said the one next to me whom I recognized as Connor.

“Oh wow. Now that’s just not funny.” I said.

“Hello beautiful.” Said the other guy who I didn’t recognize. His hair was spiky and was a reddish/brown tone, and his eyes were a light brown.

“Did my dad save you too?” I asked…. Okay it was more like mocking but what do I say? These guys are taking me against my will!

“Wow now that’s not nice!” Said Connor. He had longish, dirty blond hair and blue eyes.

“Well it’s not nice to kidnap a girl against her will either!” I shot back.

“Touché.” He admitted.

“So? Who is this?” I asked impatiently.

“Riley.” Answered….. Riley, I guess. He sounded a little angry but I was too so I didn’t worry about it too much.

“Anyone wanna tell me where we’re going?” I ask.

Silence…… I guess not.

“Your father has been sending all the wolves out to find you.” Will stated in a stern voice, without taking his eyes off the road. I was silent for awhile.

“Since when?” I asked plainly.

“’Since when?’ What!?” He asked. He didn’t sound happy either, but I kept going, I knew he wasn’t going to let it go anyway.

“Since when did my dad care enough to send out a search party for me? And how long has everyone been looking?” I asked frustrated.

“He cared since he figured you were different and everyone has been looking ever since Tuesday. And I’ll tell you this, It hasn’t been easy. Because of your stubbornness Jake Kayron…. He almost died.” His harsh tone made me feel bad for leaving the pack. I had a legit reason to leave though. What I mean that is; my dad (AKA leader of the pack.) decided to breed with a human and now I’m a mutt. I’m not full werewolf like the others. Nope! I’m a wolf who is either full wolf or not wolf at all. The others can use their wolf instincts in human form. Oh yeah and they can control when they turn into a wolf, I just turn whenever my inner-wolf-self decides it’s a good time to turn. In other words, I turn into a wolf, just, whenever. No way to control it. The only time I know for sure when I reform is….. oh wait, there is none.

I silenced my self by convincing myself no one really cared what I had to say. It’s probably true, they didn’t when I was part of the pack. That’s one of the reasons I tried to leave. If it weren’t for my dad being the pack leader I’d be living as normal as I could being a (half) werewolf. But no, instead he insists on keeping me there with natural and real werewolves.

I stared out the window once again and decided the storm would cause some serious damage when it passed through.

“Where’s the pack?” I whispered.

“What?” Asked William angrily.

“Nothing…” I said, trying my best to cover up the trace that said I said anything at all.

“Bria, I asked what!” He said, a bit softer this time.

“I was asking where the pack is now. I mean other than hunting me down. Where did my dad make camp?” I said louder than before but still a little shyly.

“Uh… I’m not supposed to tell you that.” He said with a tiny hint of regret in his voice.

“Oh,” Is all I could come back with.

Started to come out of the city and I started to worry. Are they really going to bring me to the pack with this weather? The whole state is in danger with this storm! I thought to myself. It was getting darker in the sky and the time was ticking away with the time at   6: 38.

“You’re going to get us all killed.” I mentioned. “That storm will take out anything in its path.”

“Could you just…. Shut up?” Asked Riley causelessly.

“Ry, you may not wanna get her too mad…” Connor warned.

I remembered the times I could control my “inner self”, when I was normal, like the others, when I’d wrestle Connor, Jake and William. I hung out with the boys instead of girls just because I was more like them. The girls never got why I liked hanging out with the boys but I did. I liked fighting with them and pinning them to the ground ‘til they whimpered and called me alfa…. Well not too much that they got in trouble with my father but to the point where they respected me.

I jumped. The whole sky lit up in a blinding light that took a few seconds to recover from. 2 seconds later a loud, ear piercing thunder crashed through the air. Oh and did I mention the rain? Well it was coming down at a rapid pace and I could only imagine what it’ll be like when they’re going to make me get out of the car.

William swore and I braced myself for the worst but it didn’t seem to come but then I noticed it. The car was out of control. It started to turn to the left to then to the right cause the car to jerk me from side to side. And then like I expected to come, came the worst. The car completely lost control and it rolled off the road. Now I’m being completely truthful with you, I was out. The only thing I could see was the light of the lightning through my eyelids as I lay there, unconscious.
