Chapter 2

Katherine's pov---

"I will hang up now", I said "and take care bye".
I Hung up before he did. I sat on the floor and a huge smile stretched across my face.
My hearts sang a love song which I never felt in my life. I was still smiling when I heard the metallic clang of the gate again. I ran into my room, jumped into bed, covered myself with the blanket and kept smiling. The beautiful words he said, was going round and round in my head.
"MISSION PHONE CALL" was successful. Compared to this, waiting for letters seemed tame. Hobi said he would call me every Monday. He chose Monday as I had been born on a Monday. I was begining to find anything he did for me was charming.

Each Monday there would be so much to tell him when he called. I wanted to shre so much with him. Every minute detail had to be shared, and he was just as eager to listen. Hobi said, he loves the sound of my voice. He said he could picture me sitting on the floor in my parents' bedroom and talking to him. He would always end the call with "take care, okay? I love you"
He could have repeated that lying a million times and I would have never tired of hearing it. We never run out of things to talk about. I won't mention to him that I could send him money for the phone calls as I felt guilty that he was spending so much. He wouldn't even hear of it and we never discussed it again.

One day it was Monday morning. I was talking to hobi on phone call, my parents came home early than expected.

I quickly hung up the call and hid myself under the bed.
They entered the room. By voice I could recognise it was my father. I could hear some utensils sound, indicating my mother was working in the kitchen.
I heard the phone ring again. I knew it was hobi who is calling now. Unfortunately my father picked the call.

"Hello ? ................hello ? Is someone there?"
He hung up the call .

"Why can't people talk when they call ! " He cursed. It minutes, when my father finally stepped out the room.

I quickly got out of my hiding spot and tip toed till I entered my room. Next day, I wrote a letter explaining what exactly happened here when I hung up the call.

He replied - I literally jumped of the telephone booth, hearing your dad's voice. In his letter.

"Will I end the semester? Or will the semester end me?" I thought.
Boring lectures! I hated it. Luckily my seat is at corner of the class, I take a look outside the window near me. Dark clouds had occupied, it's raining heavily.

Suddenly a bright lighting strikes the sky. Half of the class felt shivers over it, majority of them covered their ears.
But there was no thunder! "Biggest betrayal. When it is supposed to thunderstorm but it didn't, wow!"

One of the maids bought a paper, she entered the class with the permission of our lecturer and handed the paper to him.
He read it carefully, "students! Theres a notice to you all.

It is said that there will be a terrible cyclone approaching, so the principle has announced all students wil be requested to stay in our hostels. Either it can be your friends rooms or the space provided by us. I hope all don't have any queries regarding this."

Everyone nodded their heads as no.

"Good! For today it's the end, thankyou" the teacher said and exit the class.
All students greeted him back.
I saw chipmunk running towards me, "hey you gonna stay with me right?"
"Yes ofcourse"

Time skip~
Katherine's pov---

Many months few away, we had many competitions and project works given.
Our college had won many prizes in the competition. This is the reason it was very famous and well known across California.
Right now, I was currently in the university cafeteria having lunch with my only friends - chipmunk and yoongi.
"Did you hear the news? Dan scored good marks and ranked first in psychology and will be receiving a reward from our principal?" Yoongi stated randomly.
"Yes, he has always been a nerd though" I replied with a heavy sigh.
" Yeah, I did! Actually he is not only a nerd. But he is good in all kinds of activities. No doubt why he was the captain of our college football at last year." Chipmunk interacted while munching the bread.
"He even won the 1st prize and was rewarded a gold medal for him and his team." I said.
The bell rang! We hurriedly placed our plate in the tray, and ran to our class.
Teacher entered our classroom, the students greeted and soon the lecture started.
