A couple days take an incredibly long time to pass. The war has seemed to calm down quite a bit. I'm not a paranoid type, but it worries me. I'm not going to complain, I have other things to worry about. The party tonight! The ballroom looked absolutely stunning last time I checked. Isadora and Ivy did a lovely job with the entire project. I assume she also had more time worrying about the set up instead of the war. There will be more guards placed around the building because of how many people are gathering in one place, on account of Dunixi.

I'm standing in front of a mirror adjusting my headpiece. I cant mess anything up tonight. I barely have any time to get ready, and I need to be there early. I'm stuck between a dress that will match the headpiece or compliment it. If I were to match the headpiece, Id wear my flowy rose gold dress with small embroidered flowers on it. If I were to compliment, it would be the white skin tight one. Im going with the matching dress. My dresser is messy with a pile of gold jewelry; I wipe all of them off and pull out small silver earrings and a necklace instead.

Tonight is going to be the best night of my life. I just know it. At least, I hope so.

Finally, I make my way inside the building. The entrance is lit up tonight. The pillars are covered in floral décor that make the courthouse look even more beautiful than it already is. Guards stand at the door and give a small nod to me as I pass by. Im way earlier than I should be. I see Anthony and Isadora chatting it up at the front of the room content with themselves. I look up, the constellations are lit up in a way they really look like stars tonight. I focus again on my surroundings, catching Anthony waving me over.

"Hair down today?" I smile. He always notices when Im trying harder or when Im not.

"Is that ok?"

"Its great!" Isadoras voice is the most recognizable out of the entire Kingdom. Her tone is cheerful and pleasant even when shes not trying. Its higher pitched than a lot of females, but it practically defines Isadora. It fits her personality like a glove. I look over to Isadoras right and see Ivy looking around the room, beaming at the sight shes helped create.

"Everything looks so beautiful Isadora, I didnt even know you could pull something like this off."

" We should probably have more events in the courthouse then. What do you think?" Anthony answered for Isadora, but I know she doesnt mind. Those two complement each other quite nicely. Anthony is loud and outgoing while Isadora is quiet and soft. In this case, opposites attract.

"As long as we dont invite anymore people. Events like this wear me out so quickly."

"I agree. Completely." I seem to respond too fast. Anthony and Isadora give out a quiet laugh. I think I would love events like these every other week. If the council can wear me out in an hour, people could probably do that in a couple.

I turn my head at the sound of the other counselors walking in with laughter and chatting. When their guards are down, they dont seem so bad. Am I like that?

"Tenley! You look amazing!" Dunixi comments on what Im wearing, not only comments but its a good comment! Shes wearing something more vicious. A dark red and black to compliment her crown and match the details. I can hear the click in her heels.

"You as well! Fierce as always Dixi." She sticks her nose further up in the air, proud of that compliment.

"Tenley." Nox says my name as if its supposed to be a greeting. I smile at him despite his choices.

"Nox." I give him the same tone and mood he gave to me. Hes not humored. Basil elbows Nox trying to make him give into the festivities.

"Im so excited! I feel like its been weeks since we announced this!" Dion seems to be dancing under his skin.

"It was a great idea! Something everyone could agree on." I turn my head to the elbowing man. Nox, Basil, and Dion were all wearing the same structured suit, except they were all different colors, textures, and Dions even had a pattern.

The musicians Ivy hired had started playing and it captured my every feeling before I walked into the room: excitement, fear, anxiety, happiness, it was all there. Groups of people started to walk in and I froze. I practiced talking to them, but not actually greeting them. Basil was a natural, walking right over and shaking hands. Walking over is a bit of an overstatement, he was basically swarmed by fan girls. I shook my head and almost laughed. Lords and higher classed people found themselves talking to Nox and Dunixi. Dion had decided to stick with Anthony, Isadora, and Ivy.

A different type of music plays which I assume is a waltz, and couples, strangers, and friends take the dance floor. I speed walk right off just because I've never actually danced with a partner. This is going to be an adventure.
