It takes every bit of self control for Jungkook to not breathe on the ice cream display, taking in all of the flavors. He's in sweet dairy heaven, eyes wide as he wonders which one he should have first and how many toppings he should get. The ice cream display is set up buffet-style, allowing him to personalize his sugary treat to his heart's content.
Meanwhile, Jimin watches the younger, wondering if he's new to the area. It's not that they're in a particularly small town, but the store's clientele is made mostly of regulars and high school/college students taking their significant others on dates—maybe the occasional birthday or soccer party. Although people do come and go, Jimin knows most everybody.
'And he can't help but smile at how innocent the unknown guy looks, dressed in all black, yet face so expressive and colorful. He's beautiful, and Jimin can't help but hope to see more of him.
"I-I... hello..." a timid voice says.
"Hmm?" Jimin snaps out of it, mentally cooing at how quiet the other is.
He shyly places his bowl of mint chocolate ice cream with gummy worms and other goodies on top of the scale, only able to meet the cashier's gaze for mere seconds at a time. Jungkook's heart races, the other man's beauty unmatched, in his eyes.
"Is that all?" Jimin asks softly, picking up on Jungkook's inability to speak.
Jungkook nods.
With a smile, Jimin rings him up and pulls out a card. "This is a stamp card. After seven ice creams, you get the eighth one free. Sound like a good deal?"
Jungkook's eyes widen and he nods gleefully, bowing once Jimin stamps the card and waits for Jungkook to pay. Once the younger is done, Jimin slides him a pen and points to the empty space marked "name."
Blushing, Jungkook writes his name. He takes his time, wanting his handwriting to be impeccable while in the presence of such a person. When he's done, Jimin smiles at him.
"I hope to see more of you, Jungkook." He holds his hand out. "My name is Jimin, by the way."
Jungkook shakes it, smiling widely and says the first thing that comes to his mind:
"Your hand is so small and cute, Jimin."
