Intro
Camila's POV
I was almost done building my castle, but I couldn't reach high enough to get the last block on top. I stood on my tippy toes, wobbling from side to side, trying my best to finish my creation, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't reach.
"What are you doing?" A voice behind me asked.
"Trying to finish my castle, but can can't reach. Could you help?" I turned around to see a girl, who was taller than me.
"Yeah, sure. I'm good at building castles." She informed.
"Just don't knock it down." I said sternly." It's very important."
"Okay." The girl effortlessly placed the last block on top.
"Thanks. One day I'm going to live in a castle because I'm a princess." I explained.
"Cool. Can I be a knight at your castle?"
"Sure, but only if you can protect me from the dragon."
"What dragon?"
"The dragon that will try to take me away." I explained to the oblivious girl.
"Okay, I promise to slay any dragon that threatens the castle."
"Pinky promise?"
"Pinky promise." The girl and I latched pinkies confirming our agreement.
"Good, now it's official."
"What's official?" The taller girl furrowed her eyebrows and I face palmed.
"That you are my knight." I sighed, explaining to the taller girl." And you will have to protect me from the dragon."
"Oh, okay." The girl replied, seeming to understand.
"I like your eyes." I commented, sitting down on the floor, taking a sip from my juice box.
"Thanks." She said sitting on the floor next to me." I like yours, too."
"Really?" I asked and she nodded," I think they're boring."
"I don't." The girl told." They remind me of chocolate and I like chocolate, so I like your eyes, too."
"Wow, I never thought of it that way." I said, happily." I like chocolate, too."
"I'm Lauren." The girl told me.
"And my name's Camila."

Camila's POV
"You're growing up so fast, Mija." My mom sniffled.
"It's only the last day of 2nd grade, Mami." I grabbed my backpack and we walked outside to the car.
We drove to my best friend, Lauren's house. As soon as we got there, I ran upstairs to her room.
"Lauren! I-" I had accidentally walked in on her while she was changing." I'm sorry." I closed the door and waited outside.
"Hey, Camz are you excited?"
"Yeah, I can't believe it's summer already!" I exclaimed as we walked downstairs.
"Are you ready, girls?" My mother asked. We both nodded, eagerly and got into the car.
Camila's POV
Ring Ring
It was finally the last recess of 2nd grade. Lauren and I rushed outside and ran straight to our spot under the tree. We came here every day and talked about things and watched the clouds in the sky.
