"Is this everyone?"
I ask, looking around the Cynical's house. Missy, Dave, Braden, and a few other large-looking men have gathered in the main room to go over the plan. It's so weird to be back here, and honestly, I'm feeling on edge. Memories of the last time I was here flood my mind and nervous energy flows through my body.
"I think so. Now, let's go over the plan."
Missy sits down on the couch and points to the map of the warehouse sitting on the coffee table. Everyone scooches closer to the map, making sure they can see clearly.
"The meeting with Snake is at 8 pm tonight. We will meet him in the main area, with at least a few guards."
Dave explains directly.
"At first, only me, Agent, Lucy, and Siko will go in. If we have too many of us go, it will look like an ambush. I have a body camera hidden in my jacket that Missy can see from the car. If we need the rest of you, Missy will send you in. Hopefully, this will be a smooth and easy plan, no missteps."
He continues, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Once you five go in, Lucy will greet Snake quickly, then head out. Siko, I want your attention to fully be on keeping Lucy safe. Have your gun at your side the whole time and keep her by you. Hopefully, Death, you can distract him enough for her to slip out easily. While we distract Snake, Devil will slip out of the van, and enter through the side door with the key. After a few days of Agent's spying, we know that all of the coke is being held in this room."
Missy explains while pointing to the room behind the balcony overlooking the main room.
"It might be hard to slip into here unnoticed, but if Death can keep everyone concentrated on the meeting, things will go according to plan. In Devil's backpack, there is a jug of gasoline and a lighter."
I look over to Devil, who is leaning smugly against the window at the side of the room. His icy blonde hair is shaved on one side, he has a few face piercings, and his all-black leather outfit contributes to his bad-boy persona. He catches me looking at him and he bows his head quickly out of respect. Awkwardly, I look away and check on Braden. He has been standing next to me the whole time, fully focused on the map Missy is pointing to. This morning he made me wear a fully fireproof jacket and pants, "just in case". I have full confidence that we will be able to accomplish this plan, but I put it on just to make him feel better.
"After I receive confirmation that Devil is about to blow up all the coke, I will let Death know through the small mic in his ear. He will make an excuse, make sure everyone, including the other gang, clears out, and then kaboom! The streets are safe."
Nodding, I go over the plan again in my head. Of course, there are a ton of things that could go wrong, but it's worth it. If we don't get rid of all those drugs, so many people will be killed.
"This plan sounds good. Are we forgetting anything?"
I ask, wrapping an arm around Braden for comfort. He pulls me in closer to him and relaxes at the touch. Everyone thinks for a minute and shakes their heads no.
"It looks like we have an hour until the meeting. Let's go. Now."
Dave says while looking every member in the eye firmly and then walking out of the room. Missy just rolls her eyes, picks up the map, and follows Dave.
"How are you feeling?"
Braden whispers to me. I look up at him warmly and squeeze his hand.
"I'm feeling good. Nervous of course, but confident."
