Peter sat in his small house which Cedric gave him. There was a knock on the door. Peter answered the door and a king's man was waiting for him. "Cedric would like to meet you as his last wish. Please come with me." said the man. Peter went to see Cedric. He saw Cedric in a narrow jail cell.
"Dear Peter, wicked David has accused me of taking bribes and creating fraud. Listen closely Peter, I have evidence of that wicked man taking bribes and fake paperwork which he made. Those are in the drawer of my office desk. Make sure no one sees you or you'll be in big trouble. Please do this for me, dear Peter! You must leave now. You must prove that I am innocent on the court tomorrow!" Cedric said anxiously.
Peter left and headed back to his house. He put on a black robe and went to Edith. He saw the open door so he went in. Edith was asleep. Peter stole the office key and went to the court. Two guards were supposed to be patrolling but they both were asleep. Peter noticed the office door was open. He rushed and found another man taking the papers from the drawer. Before the man could run away, Peter grabbed him and punched his face. The man was the wicked David.
"We'll talk about this tomorrow at the execution. They will execute you and not the innocent clerk," said Peter. "Do you think it'd be so easy to get rid of me? Young man, once I changed your fate and I am here to change your fate again." David Pearson laughed menacingly. "Enough of this nonsense. We'll talk about it at the court tomorrow. Your wickedness and crimes will be exposed," Peter yelled at David.
The guards came running to them. "Arrest this wicked man!" Peter yelled in anger. "What a joke. Do you think they will arrest me over the man who sneaked into the office at night?" David laughed again. The guards were indeed coming for Peter. Peter ran as fast as he could but did not make it out. Peter was put in jail. The evidence was kept by guards and later sent to David. Peter sat on the floor, wondering what would happen to him and Cedric.
