Hood Priness

Being a Hood Princess is harder than it sounds. I have the worst trouble tryna do stuff on my own. My name Cataliaya (pronounced cat-ta-lay-a). I was named after a flower in the country named Columbia. That's the nation flower there. I believe God gave me this pathway I don't even know why.

My full name is Cataliaya Rene'e Brown. I'm 15 years old. I'm part black and puerto rican. I'm 5'0 and a half. I have black, brown, red, and this burnt orange hair (all natural babes). Light carmel skin that glows in the sunlight. Light hazel eyes with a grey ring around it. I have 4 sisters but they all don't live with me. I also have 2 brothers that don't live me well one any way. I go to Grady high school with my crazy best friend named MaeQuelle aka MaeMae and Kiki. Man I have a big family but that's not just the half of it.

I live with my big brother. We both live together. The rest of our sister and brother live with various aunts and uncles. They all went away after our mother died. She died by her lungs collapsing and she couldn't breathe. I miss my mommie. She was the best I have just about all her prefect features. I look just like her too. Everybody say "hey I know you aren't you Sha's little girl aren't you." I just smile and say "yes that's my mother." They will tell me I look exactly like her. I act similar to her but act more like my unt if you ask me. I have that kind heart like my mother but I still know how to cus somebody out if I need to.

Here the way my story rolls. It all started on this day. The first day of school.

August 24th the first day of school.

Cataliaya's P.O.V (Liaya's the nickname)

Cataliaya was getting ready for school. She had on pink skinny jeans, a pink and black Rue21 shirt, pink and black Nikes, one pink and one black hoop earrings. She fixed her makeup putting on a ligh pink eyeshadow, a little bit of blush, a hint of tinted pink lipgloss. Walked out of her bathroom and walked to the closet to look at herself in her full length mirror.

Cataliaya: (P.O.V.: Man I'm just looking too good. Can't wait to get my day started so I can show off how good I'm looking. All the fellas are gonna be on me.) (Walks out and goes to her nightstand and put on her Moms diamond necklace she had left her on her will. She touched it and said a little prayer. Then looks at the time it read 7:45 a.m. Man I better get going.)

Before walking down the stairs she grabs her wallet, keys and phone. When she gets down the stairs she sees her big brother, Rayshawn but they call him Shawn,in the kitchen making breakfast in basketball shorts and no shirt on.

Cataliaya: Aye big bro I'm bout to head out.

Shawn: Without tasting a bit of breakfast, and without giving yo big bro a hug or kiss. I don't think so lil girl.

Cataliaya: (goes over to Shawn and kiss and hug him and snatches the plate he made for her.) Thanks bro and see ya later.

Shawn: ( Hugs and kisses her back) Aight lil Ma. Come straight home today I have something to discuss with you later.

Cataliaya: (Man what did I do now? I haven't did nothing in a hot lil minute though and school haven't even started though.) (puts on a fake smile) Aight big bro I got you.

She walks out the door with plate in hand and walk to her bus stop, to see her to favorite besties, MaeMae and Kiki.

Cataliaya: (Walks up to Kiki since she had her back to her and yelled) QUE PAS MI AMOUR!!!!!

Kiki: (Jumps up and hugs Cataliaya) Heffa where have you been I missed you like crazy hoe.

MaeMae: Aye niggas what are we suppose to be doing today. Laughing at lil freshmen?

Liaya: Yo I don't even know shortty, but what ever we do, dude it has to be remembered.

Kiki: (sees that Liaya has a plate in her hand.) Um Liaya what the fuck is that in your hand?

Liaya: (P.O.V.: Damn man can't have nothing with these two hungry hippos.) Its just the breakfast that Shawn made.

Kiki: I missed the one morning yo brother did cook? (Eyeing the plate) What did he make this morning?

Liaya: Well he made cheese eggs, pancakes, French toast, grits, and sausage. Full course breakfast.

Kiki: Hell yea and he didn't even call me he was making breakfast. I'm pissed now.

MaeMae: Well dang yo bro cooking now. Lemme find out then.

Liaya: (sees the bus.) Man here comes the bus. Can't wait till we hit the inside again.

They all started laughing like old times. Then get on the bus. They head to back because like always that was "their"seat . Marked territory.

Liaya: (mumbles to herself) its going to be a long day y'all.
