Patient Love- Bruno Madrigal

The day out

Y/n POV
Breakfast wasn't anything different, I sit in my usual place next to Mirabel and Bruno with everyone else at their usual seats. I look around the table to help figure out what we are having for breakfast, syrup, lemon juice, cinnamon- my guess was correct! We are having pancakes! Tía Julieta helps me dish up a pancake on my plate and I drown it in lemon juice. Something catches my eye from the side so I turn my head to see Bruno giving me a confused and disturbed look.
"What?" I say confused as to why he is looking at me like that
"How can you eat that? Wouldn't it be really sour?" I give him an offended expression and out my hand on my chest
"Wow rude, lemon juice is the best! You just can't handle it" I challenge him
"I can but I just have good taste in pancake toppings" Bruno replies smugly
"Damnnn ok then whatever you say" I say while rolling my eyes and smiling.
I finish eating my SUPER YUMMY PANCAKE and I get up to leave after everyone else does but Bruno calls me back
"Y/n"
"That's my name" I reply while giving him two finger guns, which makes him smile slightly and chuckle
"I erm I was wondering if you wanted to go out and hang out today?"He asks wearily
"Yes I'd love to" I said probably too quickly but I didn't care all that much
"Haha great, cool so I'll see you in about half an hour if that's ok with you"
"Yea great, see you then" I walk away quickly trying not to scream, is this actually happening?!

When I head back to Mirabel's room, Dolores grabs my arm and yanks me into her room. Before I have time to protest I see Mirabel and Isabela in front of me.
"What are you guys doing?"
"We want to help you get ready for your date!" Dolores exclaimed. Seriously?
"It's not a date ok" I say giving them an unimpressed look
"Yea, sure" Isabela says in a bored tone, she grabs my hand and drags me to Dolores' bed where there are a few outfits lying on top. I sigh in defeat knowing that I'm not getting out of this one. I end up picking the one on the end:

"Hurry up and try it on!" Mirabel yells at me
"Alright alright keep your hair on" I reply sarcastically. I walk into the bathroom and take my time getting ready and when I'm ready I walk out.
"You look perfect! Now go, it's probably time now" Isabela said
"Yep Bruno's ready, I can hear him walking to the door" Dolores said quickly
"Ok I'll see you guys later then" I wave goodbye while walking out of Dolores' room.

I jump down the stairs and see a Bruno waiting at the bottom, his eyes scan my body up and down then smiles.
"You look nice" Bruno says almost in a whisper
"Thank you, shall we go?"
"Yes good idea" we walk outside of the casita and towards a grassy hill where we sit at the top.
"I love this place, you can see almost everything from up here" I exclaim
"I hoped that you'd like it" he replied quietly
" so what do you think about your gift?" I ask
" I mean it's not much of a gift I'll tell you that" Bruno says scoffing
" why not?" I say tilting me head
" when people ask me to see their future, I do. But when I tell them and it's bad, they blame it on me, People think I'm a bad man because of it" he replies. Looking down and fiddling with his hands.

I stare at him with With sympathy and grab his hands, he looks up at me shocked.
" I'm sorry that your being put through this. It's not your fault that they have a misfortunate future, all you did was tell them what would happen" I say with a reassuring smile and he exchanges one back.
" I'm happy that at least someone understands" he says relieved.
" well I'm here for you if you need to talk" I reply while I squeeze his hands.
" thanks" he says while smiling
We continue talking for a few hours until it gets dark so we we decide to head back. I could tell that something was bugging Bruno but I didn't want to say anything so I left it. When we arrive back at the Casita, we are greeted by most of the family and Camilo starts joking around with me. I see Bruno step away to stand near the stairs and I leave him incase he needed some space. I carry on talking and joking with Camilo when I spot Isabela go up to him.
