Book Three: The Children of Fate

It had been days since Prompto and Serafina could sleep on soft beds, the two journeyed to recover the old empire with hopes to rule the peaceful land once more. Sol was finally where her ancestry began; atop the throne in Niflheim. Upon taking the throne, Solara promised one thing to Sera and Prompto:

["It's time that Niflheim and Solheim have a new beginning. The war has gone on for too long," Solara said. "I hope that we remain allies even after the end of our reign."]

With Niflheim as allies with Solheim, Sera no longer feared for the safety of the kingdom. The Argentum family could finally live happily together in the Citadel, only needing to worry about the health of each other and their friends.

After almost 40 years of being at war with Niflheim and 3 long years of being without a Lucian ruler, both the rulers of the Lucian kingdom and the Niflheim empire came together to finally sign the treaty, declaring the two nations allies and trade partners.

The kingdom continued to advance in every area possible as the years progressed. Soon after the marriage of Serafina Via Caelum and Prompto Argentum, the Crown City chose to build a statue in the center of the Citadel's courtyard to commemorate Noctis's life, a statue of Serafina soon following.

By the time Sera and Prompto had returned to the Citadel, Sera was in dire need of rest and relaxation. It had been months since the Royals had been in their own kingdom and Sera was due any day. When she made her way to the infirmary, she laid on one of the beds and tried to relax, only to groan in pain and tense up more, her water breaking upon laying down.

"Prompto, i-it's time.. I think the baby is coming for real this time," Sera said, holding his hand in hers.

~After several hours~

Cries filled the halls of the palace, the sound coming from the infirmary. It was a joyous moment for the King and Queen as they held their beautiful baby girl.

"Welcome to the world, little Irina," Prompto said, sitting in the bed beside his wife and daughter. Sera couldn't help but smile as she looked down at her daughter, immediately seeing the strong young woman she would become when she was older.
