"What have you to gain by killing me?" I ask pleadingly backing up and then into a tree.
"Well, first of all, you pretty much just threw me to the slayers. That's not working in your favour. Second, I'm hungry. Third, well, I don't have any reason not to."
"You could just let me go. Get out of town before the slayers get here." I try to reason with him, but I know it is in vain.
"Now, that's not nearly as fun." He pins me against the tree again but this time, he put his arms on either sides of me and his leg in front of mine so that I couldn't kick him again. He placed his mouth to my neck but still didn't bite me. He moved his cold lips to my jaw and up. "Please." I whispered in defeat.
"No, I'm liking this. What's your name? I don't believe I ever caught it."
I heard a shout and Gavriel looked up.
"Is everything all right here?" A pair of men came with torches. One was tall and appears strong and the other was short and fat.
"Of course." Gavriel leaned into me and whispered in my ear. "Play along or I break your neck right now."
My brain told me to shout anyway since my death will be fast and less painful than what he has in store. The other instinctive part of me agreed to his proposition in self preservation. So I shouted over to the men, "Yes gentleman, everything is fine." And I added a giggle to make it more realistic and they laughed, winked at Gavriel, and left.
"That was some good acting. Was it acting?" He asked with a smirk plastered on his face.
"Yes, of course it was." I spat. As if I was actually enjoying his company.
"Sure, sure. What is your name?" He began kissing me again while I remained still. "Kayella." I breathed.
After a few more minutes, I felt him stiffen. He raised his head and opened his mouth. His top canine teeth elongated and sharpened until they were large fangs. His two bottom canines also got slightly longer and sharper, but not to the extent of the others. I gasped as his eyes went red as crimson blood. He growled, bared his teeth, and placed them to my neck.

Finally, he bit me and an unearthly, high sound came from me.

The pain was so severe that I could only stand up because Gavriel was holding me.
His arms tightened around me. I heard a sound of pleasure come from him, which seemed unfair as I was in excruciating agony.
I could feel my blood pumping and much of it leaving my body into Gavriel. I wrapped my arms around him to steady myself. The pain was dulling, but the world started to fuzz.
His mouth hadn't left my neck and the loss of blood was giving me a horrid headache.

I held on to Gavriel tightly as he pulled away. I could still feel my blood flowing from the wound staining my long, silk dress.

He bit into his wrist and held it up to my mouth. His blood dripped into my mouth and I spat it out in disgust.
He forced my head up and made the thick, red liquid go down my throat.

I tried to cough it up but it was too late. I had lost too much blood already and he set me gently on the ground. "I'll see you tonight Kayella." Gavriel whispered in my ear and disappeared into the mist of the forest. His poisonous blood ran down my throat and seemed to infect every place that it touched.

I felt every beat of my heart as I bled out.

It was taxing to breathe. Finally, his blood hit my heart and it stung so badly, I wreathed horribly on the ground. Suddenly the pain peaked and I couldn't stay conscious any longer.

When I awoke, I felt empty inside. I wasn't breathing. I kept trying to, but found it was unnatural and awkward.

My dress was black with dried blood and had tears in it everywhere.

I was dead.
