“Your Lord know best what is in your hearts, if you do deeds of righteousness, verily He is the Most Forgiving to those who turn to Him in repentance.” Surat 17:V25.

Maraya rushes to meet Akin who is standing outside the obstreatic &gynecology ward waiting for her.

“What happen?” she asked as she approach him.

“The nurses said that she will be on admission for now for monitoring. She lost a lot of blood so she has a bag transfused at the early of today and she resting in the ward now.”Akin briefly explain the situation to her.

“How come?” Maraya is still confused as to how her friend will be pregnant and have abortion without her knowledge. They usually share their relationship secret, she remember telling her every little thing about her relationship with Hafiz when they were together. Though she never had the chance to meet Beatrice’s boyfriend but Beatrice always talk about him and from what she knew he is not the type to ask her to abort a baby illegally and put her life at stake.

“Obviously she is pregnant and she decides to abort it for a reason best known to her.” he shrug his shoulder and Maraya could sense anger in her voice.

“Is there something you are not telling me?” Maraya asked suspiciously.

“Maybe you should check on her.” he simply answered and looked away.

“You look so worn out. When have you been here?” she pulled him back to face her. “Are you angry with her for not telling you about it?”

“You won’t understand how bad I felt about this.” Akin said almost with tears.

“What is wrong with you?” Maraya asked in surprised. “You are being too emotional, Akin. I know you should be angry but she needs us now. We need to be there to support her you know?” she holds his arm into hers, but Akin releases his hand slowly.

“Let’s go and see her.” Akin walks towards the amenity ward and Maraya follows him.

When they enter the ward, Beatrice is placed on infusion lying in the hospital bed. She looked weak and has lost much weight that Maraya felt like crying seeing her. She started imagining how much pain she has been through, and she felt guilty for not being there for her friend.

“How are you feeling?” Maraya seat on the chair beside the bed Beatrice is lying. She looks at her and could see the dark circle under her eyes and the paleness of her palm.

“I’m getting better.” Beatrice said weakly. Looking down on Maraya’s hand. Akin is still standing beside Maraya but her gaze is rested on her friend lying on the bed. He is still very angry and disappointed in her for her action, she has betrayed the trust her friends have in her and he is sure that Maraya will not forgive her when he knows.

“I’m sorry I was not there for you when you need me, I was angry with myself for sometimes now so I decide to redirect my focus for now that’s why I have not been calling or receiving your calls.”

“it’s okay.” Beatrice smiles sadly. She look too sad and ashamed to look at her friend and it makes Maraya to wonder how sorry she felt for not telling her about her pregnancy. Maraya look around and see that there is no food around but for some provision that is yet to be opened, which means that her friend have not had anything since she wakes.

“I will go and ask the nurse to confirm if you can eat now and I will go and prepare something for you.” Maraya walks to the nursing station to speak with one of the nurses in charge about Beatrice health.
