Herb.. ITS HERB!

Sparkling is panicking he had no idea what to say or do, all he could do is stare at Herb who is smiling warmly at him, he felt his face heat up but his heart is aching.. "Oh, Herb what a surprise.. what brings you here?" Herb's expression change from a smile to a concern look to a smile again, then he bought his arm out from his back which Sparkling didn't realize both of his arms are behind him. His eyes widen when he saw a paper bag with a logo very similar to the bakery "afternoon snack with me?" Herb ask the speechless Bartender  who master a nod and let herb in.

Herb took off his shoes while sparkling lead him to his living room, the air feels heavy with tension and Herb noticed that yet didn't say anything. He knew something was up from the event that morning.. and Sparkling being gloomy and quiet kind of proves that

the gardener put the other gift beside him and hide it carefully with a couch pillow so it wouldn't ruin it then take out the goodies from the bag and place it at the center table he's surprise the drinks didn't spill. "you didn't tell me about your day off today.." that caught Sparkling off guard but he kept his head low avoiding any sort of eye contact with his (sadly) friend, "I apologize Herb I was very tired this morning and wanted to stay home, I'll make sure to tell you next time" Sparkling lied while chuckling still not looking at Herb.

"Sparkling.. I saw you at Clover's area this morning, you don't have to lie to me" that was it, Herb was right, something is definitely wrong and a simple lie confirm that. Sparkling eyes widen from shock probably for the third time today.. he felt helpless his brain numbing, all because of the scene that happened far away from him, he's stupid for planning this confession, he's stupid for falling in love... and now he's just sucking everything up making sure he won't break down in front of the man he fell for.

Minutes have pass yet the living room became deadly silent Herb is still waiting for Sparkling to speak, however Sparkling can't seem to get a word out.. He open his mouth only for it to close again like a fish. Herb move beside sparkling and put a hand on the poor bartender making him jolt. "is there something you want to say?" Herb reassured him

but instead of a sentence or a word, he receive tears from the bartender. He could no longer hide it he felt like an idiot crying over something like this and heck even in front of Herb.. its embarrassing to the bartender.. The smaller eyes widen and retreat his hand "wha- Sparkling?? Oh dear..." Herb wrapped his arms around the taller making Sparkling tense but hugged back sobbing on Herb's brown sweater mumbling 'I'm sorry's' and curses to himself.

Herb felt bad.. did he overwhelmed Sparkling? was it his fault for him to shed tears? no one ever saw him cry but Herb is the first one to see it.. Herb stayed silent, questions later, just rubbing the poor taller's back. 

as for Sparkling he couldn't stop.. The pain he felt today was awfully strong that made him breakdown into his crush's arms, Gosh he wish to stop he really needed to stop.. Its just too much for him why didn't the alcohol work?

Mins felt like hours to the two and Sparkling finally calmed down.. just a bit, there's still tears falling and hiccups coming from him. Herb let go of him which made Sparkling shiver a bit due to the warm comforting hug fading away. "Sparkling.." Herb said quietly look into those green eyes that reminded him of emeralds or his plants, "i-im sorry you have to see me like this Herb..." he sniffed and continue "The truth is I was planning for something special today.. I was gonna confess to someone that I like for so long..."

Herb was taken back "Sparkling likes someone?" "oh my.. and what happened next?" Sparkling was hesitant but eventually "I caught them happily.. accepting another's confession..." Herb was speechless he could've have said something by now, but he didn't just silence while staring at his friend with a shock look. Sparkling on the other hand was sweating and getting nervous from Herb's stare so he just look to the side with his mind flooded with thoughts again.
