Only you

Part One

The final bell rings to tell us that the day is over. I packed all my stuff up from the table that I was sitting at. I walk out of the classroom and walk into the very loud hallway.

I'm walking to my locker when suddenly I run into a wall. Well what I thought was a wall until two strong arms caught me by my waist.

I look up and see gray eyes looking right back at me. We held each other's gaze for a while until I cleared my throat. "Sorry about that, I didn't see where I was going," I apologized.

He was still studying me for a while. He suddenly took his hands off my waste and for some reason I was missing his touch already. "It's alright '' he said, answering my question I asked before. "I should get going," I told him.

I noticed how late I was to pick my little brother up from school. "Yeah me too" he replied and then we went our separate ways.

2 months later

I groaned as my alarm clock went off. When I finally got out of bed around 6:15 I went to check on James.

Once I knew he was alright and still sleeping I started to get ready. After I finished getting ready it was around 7 o'clock. I went into James' room and went to wake him up for preschool.

"James wake up, it's time for school" He opened his eyes and smiled when he saw me. He got up and jumped into my arms. "Good morning sky" my brother said with a smile. "Good morning buddy," I replied back. I carried him in my arms and sat him down. I went to pick out his outfit for today.

I picked out some tan sweatpants and a blue tee shirt.

I helped him get ready for the rest of the day. Once me and James both finished getting ready we packed our school bags and left the house.

We started walking towards the preschool. I always have to walk James to school first even though most of the time I'm late for school because of that.

"Are mom and dad going to be home tonight?" James asks. "I'm not sure, I'll text mom later to see if they're going to be home for dinner." I replied back.

After a couple more minutes of walking we get to the preschool. I crouch down and hug James."I'll see you after school ok?" I ask. "Okay" he says with a sharp nod. I then watch him as he walks through the school doors.

Once I know he's safe and in the school I start walking to the high school.
