All this was for nothing

Strangers to talking

 Who doestn't like Christmas? It's the year where you get presents, so did Aphrodite when it all started. A present that it is not very usual.

 The class of Aphrodite has a group chat on instagram so when they don't have the homework they can send it there. One day, where it all strated, Jake sends on the group chat: 

Jake : I made snapchat does anyone want to friend me?

Maria : Sure!

Nick : Yes.

Aphrodite thought why not, so she friended him.  They started talking and Aphrodite said that it was her. After a few minuits of talking Jake said that he had to go. Of course it was a lie. He wanted to stop talking to Aphrodite because he didn't really like her. He didn't hate her exactly but they didn't have anything in common. Or at least he thought so. Aphrodite from the other hand wanted to get to know him just for fun. She liked learning new things about people but she had no idea that he didn't like her.  But that wasn't a secret for a long time. When she was at school Aphrodite was on her way to go to her class, when she heard her name on a class with 3 boys. 

The conversaton :

Jake : Yesterday Aphrodite texted me on snap. She was the last person I wanted to get a text from.

Noah said : Man, she is not as bad as you think.

Lucas added : Yeah, when I was sick, she texted me to see if I am okay.

Jake replied : You are not changing my opinion. I DON'T LIKE HER.

Aphrodite was mad. She thought :

- I didn't even do anything bad to him why would he not like me? Like I care his loss.

And she left the room. Jake saw her leaving and his worst nightmare was true. Aphrodite heard the conversation. He saw her mad, but he didn't do anything. 

School ended and everyone went home. Jake thought if he should or shouldn't text Aphrodite. He took the risk. He sended the message. 

-I am so sorry for what you heard .

Aphrodite anshered after some hours :

-Why are you texting me, didn't you say that you didn't like me?

-Yes I did.

-Then why are you texting me? Don't you think I'm dumb or something?

-I do but you are not that bad.

After that they started talking. Jake started liking Aphrdite's company so they continued texting. But only texting. At school they were total strangers. Until one day...
