After the holidays the snow in Seattle intensified.

The warnings of a snowstorm approaching the city was broadcasted on all news channels and social media.

So citizens were ordered to stay put in their homes, workplaces, or get shelter when the storm intensified.

Fortunately Carina was at the station when the lockdown started.

They spent the night bundled up together in the captain's bunk warming each other up before they were woken up by the commotion outside.

The walk ins that were seeking shelter were starting to wake up despite it being too early.

Maya being the light sleeper she is she woke up pretty easily.

She started pressing soft kisses onto the top of Carina's head, she did not want to wake her up but she had to so they won't get roped into people's drama first thing in the morning.

"Come on baby, open these beautiful eyes for me" she whispered as she tried to arouse from sleep as gently as she can.

When she saw the brunette's nose twitch slightly but her brown eyes still hiding behind her eyelids she chuckled.

"Babe I know you're awake, stop pretending" chuckled Maya before caressing Carina's face lovingly.

"Maya è troppo presto"(Maya it's too early) groaned Carina while snuggling more into the blonde to lull herself back to sleep.

Maya was still learning Italian, she could understand what her wife was saying more than speaking the language herself, so she immediately knew what Carina was saying.

"I know, but do you want to deal with people's crazy first thing in the morning?" she asked softly while she waited for an answer.

"No" a muffled answer came out from the sleepy brunette.

"Then get your sexy ass up" she said before playfully slapping Carina's backside while she was getting up, dragging her wife up with her.

The blonde put on clothes to warm her up, putting on extra layers to keep her warm then grabbed some of Carina's clothes and playfully threw them at her so she could wear them.

Once they were dressed the blonde fire captain made her way up to the beanery, dragging her still very much sleepy wife along, attempting to be sneaky so no one could disturb them.

She quickly brewed some hot coffee for the both of them and filled up the mugs before telling her wife to follow her.

"Where are we going?" asked Carina sleep lacing her voice.

"You'll see" replied May before going to the stairs that lead to the rooftop.

"Bambina it's too cold to go out, it's all snow" said the brunette once she realized where Maya was leading them.

"I know, hold these and wait" she said quickly before shoving the very hot mugs into her hands and bolting through the station back into her bunk.

She grabbed all the coats and blankets and beanies she saw in sight before making her way back to her wife with a huge grin on her face before opening the door to the roof enjoying the feeling of the cold air hitting her face and the crisp air entering her nose.

She chuckled lightly when she heard her wife's grumbles behind her.

"Grumble all you want; it will be worth it" said Maya before grabbing the cups from the brunette's hands placing them on the table after shoving some of the snow off the surface and shoving a beanie on her head and wrapping a scarf around her.
