The One

The Idea

Jin was returning back from classes to the empty garage where all the boys meet. The garage was owned by a friendly uncle whom the boys befriended by mostly teasing and ragging him. But the uncle, who had not much to be excited about in his life, enjoyed the teasing, even though he made a grumpy face most of the time.
Most days the uncle won't be there working his other job, so the boys take the place to hang out.

When Jin arrives the five boys are already there, some talking, one on his phone and some play fighting each other. 'Another casual Wednesday' Jin thinks to himself, chuckling.

"The king has arrived" Seokjin announces and throws kisses and waves into the air. "But hyung I'm already here?" Taehyung jokes with a straight face. "Whatever, I won't stop announcing my arrivals until y'all start clapping and bowing at me" Jin says.
"That's never gonna happen though" Yoongi says amused and on his phone scrolling.

They continue this banter and Jin orders some food later on. They continue talking and fighting and eating for some time.

"I have a favour to ask and I need everyone to help me with it" Jin says when the room gets silent. All the boys look at him with a question mark on thier faces.

Jin is silent for a few seconds thinking how to form his sentence. He is also nervous, about various things which include if the boys will agree, or will they make fun of him, or will they be angry. He doesn't know. This kind of situation never arose in all the years they were together.

"come on hyung put it out fast I wanna go home soon" Yoongi says bluntly.
"Okay so..... Here's the thing. I met a newbie at uni today. Poor thing he was almost about to faint. He doesn't know what side subject to choose.. he was literally crying even before he started speaking. So I decided there's still time for the sub classes to start, so why not show him how each subject is, in depth and in normal. I've concluded to this plan, what do y'all think? "
Jin stops and looks at the expression on thier faces.
Namjoon and Yoongi don't have any expression, Hoseok has a growing smirk, whereas taehyung and jungkook have cluelessness on thier face.

"Is it a boy? Or a girl? Omega, beta or alpha?? Tell mee hyungg" Hobi whines pulling at Jins jacket.
"Get that smug smirk off your face hope-ah. He's still a junior, and I don't know his rank since I can't smell people that well" jin says.

"I don't see why not. It's just like helping a fellow student. Maybe make a new friend and invite them to the pack.. Although I still don't know the rank... But still.. I'm ready to help them" Namjoon answers thoughtfully.

"Does rank really matter here? It's just to help the guy. Whatever rank it is its not like we're going to be stuck being friends. We're just gonna help him and one day end it with hi byes. So I'm okay with it."
Yoongi says.

"Was...he cute? What's his name? Come on hyung you're not giving out much info" Hoseok says and jin replies "okay his name is Park Jimin and yes he is kinda cute like he looks like a high schooler lol" Jin says.

"We're gonna need a minute" says Jungkook and he and Taehyung run off to the corner and start discussing something seriously and secretly.
Jin already figures out that they would ask for something is exchange and he's right.

"So me and jungkook have come to the conclusion that we will indeed help the jimin guy but on one condition" says taehyung waiting for jin to reply.
"oh my god, didn't see that coming, what would that condition be your majesty" jin replies sarcastically.
"firstly thank you for accepting me as your king hyung, secondly, we don't know how long this might take, but each day me or jungkook spend time with that jimin you will take both of us to eat and when the contract ends we want gifts"
Taehyung answers with a humble smile.

Jin sighs as he already saw this coming and it's no big deal to him about the meals or gifts.

"we should have also asked something in return... I can't believe the younger ones got smarter than us.." Yoongi says to Namjoon.

"can y'all shut up. Taehyung its not a contract we're just going to help this boy. I've decided that I will take jungkook and taehyung out for good each time they help jimin. And I will buy a present for each of you for respecting my decision and also for helping jimin" jin says.

"Oh hyung I'm not doing it for you, I'm trying to bag this jimin boy" Hobi says with his most flirty alpha tone.

"hope ah, no. He seemed too innocent for that stuff. Like too too innocent. So try to keep it in your pants okay?"

"I'll try hyung but the heart wants what it wants" Hobi says in a sad dramatic tone.
"well then your heart probably wants everything fuckable on this planet" namjoon snorts looking at his phone.
"HEYY THAT'S NOT TRUE" Hoseok yells and the banter starts again.

"Jokes aside kookie, what do you feel about helping this junior thing?" taehyung enquires the younger as they are walking to thier dorm.
They did have a car, which Namjoon bought with jins help since the dorm was kinda far from uni. Sometimes all of them went to the dorm together, sometimes few of them walked.

" I don't really know hyung. I just hope whoever that is they'll be a good friend to all of us. The thought of befriending someone... Most times I worry if they will pick fights or cause some drama since we're the most strongest pack in uni. And that's already happened a lot of times. You know that" jungkook ends with a laugh remembering the many times people wanted 'help' and 'friendship' with the boys since they were popular and powerful. But they were only the strongest pack because there was no black sheep in the group. They all had thier own goals to work on and nobody had the time or energy to involve in stupid drama and gossip. It was just fun and genuine.

"I agree with you kookie. I hadn't thought of it like this.... To be honest... I was wondering if I could make this guy my best friend, I mean outside the pack and all. Most people fear us. I mean I do have friends but they're all distant, nobody feels like a true friend. And I also don't have anyone of you from the pack in my class. It would be nice to have a friend there." taehyung says.

The two keep walking to thier dorm talking about everything. They were good partners in crime, brothers most of all. They understood each others personality and had grown a bond so strong and so mischievous that trouble was expected most times from this duo by the hyungs.
