Bucky has always kept his promises. So when he promised that you two would go on your usual Friday dates when he came back from the war, you believed him. And when he did come back, the war wasn't over, but he still asked you out on a date. You obviously went dressed in the dress he bought you. It is an ebony dress with a belt in its center that pressed and embraced the shapes of the waist. The soft fabric was firm by its color. The shape of the dress resembled two crossed triangles at the top, then a trapeze skirt reminiscent of the dancers of the past. You decided to cover your lips in a deep red and put on the pearl necklace gifted by him before he left.
When you entered the restaurant, you saw him right away. He was dressed in his army uniform, looking as dashing as ever. When your eyes locked, you felt out of breath. You realized that you were blocking the way, so you decided to join him at the table. Once at its level, he got up and stood in front of you.
"You look beautiful, doll." he muttered before kissing your lips softly. He puts his hands around your waist while yours are around his neck. At the end of your kiss, he pulled the chair out for you and you sat as he went to his chair.
"You look quite handsome too." you said while looking at his eyes. He laughs and takes your hand.
"God, I missed you so much." he stated, smiling softly at you.
"I missed you more Buck, I was so worried you wouldn't come back. Everyday I hoped that I wouldn't receive a letter saying that you died while fighting the war. I was so scared." you confessed. Your eyes immediately went down to look at the table, but you felt his hand lift your chin so you would look him in the eyes. And at this moment, you felt it; you felt the butterflies in your stomach. You wouldn't admit it to yourself, but you've fallen for Bucky; you are in love with him. Everything around you two disappeared; it was only you and Bucky in the restaurant; there was no more chatter, no more music. Only you two.
But, this beautiful moment was suddenly interrupted by the waiter who came to take your orders. Bucky, knowing fully what you were taking, ordered for the both of you and when the waiter left, you started talking and asking him about the war. He explained to you everything that happened, how Steve was now taller than him. He then proceeded to ask how your life was going and you told him the little things that happened, which was nothing compared to him. You spoke and laughed throughout the whole meal and it was now time for the desert. As Bucky ordered the desert, you looked around the restaurant to notice that there was a band playing.
When the waiter left with your order, you were going to speak, but were interrupted by applause, so you and Bucky looked to see why the people were applauding. That's when you saw that a woman had joined the band. You guessed she was the singer and your assumption is true when the band starts playing a soft tune. Your desert arrives as the singer starts singing and you two listen while sharing the food. In the middle of the song, you realize that the song fits the instant perfectly.

When she finishes the song, everybody applauds while you are just looking at Bucky. When he turns to look at you and says something. You can't even comprehend what he says when you interrupt him.
"I think I'm in love with you." you blurt out softly. You see his widen and feel like you've made an error by saying something like this. "I, uh, I understand if you don't love me back. I mean-" you said while looking down at the table when he interrupted you.
"I love you too." he says while grabbing your chin to make you look at him. "I meant to tell you before going to war, but I thought it was too soon..." he says softly while getting up to kiss you.
This kiss was so much different than the others. This one was more passionate, was full of love. Out of breath, you part from the kiss, and he puts his forehead against yours. You two were just looking at each other while whispering sweet 'i love you's back. Yeah, you definitely fell in love with him.
