C H A P T E R T H R E E . .
"I can't believe you came back." Johnny said sitting at a bar with Evie by his side, the greatest feeling in the world.
"I wanted the girls to grow up somewhere they could be proud of too." Evie said as she sipped her gin and tonic.
"You look unbelievable Evie, you've got everything you've ever wanted.. " Johnny said as Evie couldn't help but get butterflies at his words.
"You look good to Johnny." Evie said swirling the small straw around the glass, the ice clinking against the glass. "How has life been for you?"
Johnny sighed while bringing his bottle of beer to his mouth. "I have a son who I'm still not ready for."
"Wow, what's his name?" Evie asked.
"Robby, when he was born I just couldn't bring myself to step up and become his father. I wanted to go out and get blacked out drunk all the time, I think I probably would have screwed him up even more." Johnny said.
"That can't be easy for you both, have you tried reaching out?" Evie asked.
"He doesn't want anything to do with me, it's probably for the best." Johnny said.
"And you've decided to open up Cobra Kai.. what made you decide to do that?"
"Miguel. He just wanted to learn how to defend himself against bullies, after giving him a few pointers and making those teenagers kiss the ground.. it made me realise how much I missed it." Johnny said.
"You know, before seeing Cobra Kai. I was trying to stay hidden from you, and once I saw those words again, it made me realise how much I missed you, my life was never the same without you in it." Evie said as Johnny stared back at her. Evie sighed while finishing her last few drops of alcohol.
"Fuck, I can't believe you are here." Johnny said shaking his head as his eyes wandered along Evie's body, Evie had grown into the most attractive women he had ever seen, she sat with so much confidence, and her warmth filled the room. "Where did those years go?"
"All that matters is I came home finally." Evie said nearly knocking Johnny off his seat.
"I suppose I better get home, check on the girls." Evie said wrapping her coat around her body tightly.
"You should help me with Cobra Kai, we make a great team together Evie." Johnny said as they stepped out of the bar.
"I don't know Johnny, Cobra Kai took over both our lives when we were younger, and in a way it drove us apart." Evie said looking down at her feet.
