• CHAPTER TEN •
"Tequila is my worst enemy.." Evie whined as she held her head in her hands, her head was aching with pain, she felt dehydrated, plus she woke up in Johnny's (unique) ground unit.
Evie had spent most her day, sleeping her hangover off in Johnny's place, he left a note 'gone to kick LaRusso's ass.. be back later' Evie made herself at home, using Johnny's shower to make herself feel better, she took a bag of sea salt potato chips and a can of soda.
Evie threw herself onto Johnny's house, flicking on the television, putting on some dramatic, fighting rich woman show, while munching on her snack that seemed to make her feel better.
"That woman slept with your husband girly.. get angry!" Evie said wanting some juicy drama, she cheered once drinks were suddenly thrown. "This is what I wanted."
Evie noticed she had crumbs all over a shirt she stole from Johnny's dresser drawer. Evie just placed them into her mouth with a shrug of her shoulders.
"Ooo– she's missing a few hair extensions.." Evie said laughing at the faces of the people were watching the crazy fight take place. "That's women for you."
Evie turned her attention to the front door swinging open, a suddenly angry Johnny stormed inside, mumbling while swinging open the fridge and grabbing a bottle of beer.
"Someone's not very happy.. what happened?" Evie asked sitting up and looking at Johnny who threw the beer bottle cap into his bin from a far distance.
"Robby is Daniel LaRusso's new student." Johnny said anger bubbling in his veins.
"What? I didn't even know Robby liked karate?" Evie said having heard a few stories from Johnny about what his son seemed to like.
"Neither did I – he is also living with them as well.. like a massive 'fuck you' to me." Johnny flopped down beside Evie, his hand hanging over her leg, while he rested his head on her shoulder.
"I'm really sorry Johnny.. I know you had every intention to try and make things right with Robby." Evie said while rubbing Johnny's back in a comforting gesture.
"It had to be LaRusso he turned to.. like, he clearly doesn't want anything to do with me and I understand why.. I'm a disappointing father who is barely keeping his own head above water.. I don't really blame him for needing someone to depend on." Johnny really opened up with his head thrown back against the couch, his left leg bouncing with frustration.
"I'm sure Robby will come around Johnny.. you just have to keep trying and he will see you're trying your best– parenting is really challenging.. and hopefully he will realise that you're trying to be a better person for him." Evie said resting her cheek on his shoulder with her eyes locked on the television.
