Sunshine and Lollipops (Sun/Moon X Reader)

You had been at your job for a couple of months now, and had gotten to meet most of your coworkers, and all the other animatronics. Sunny was still by far your favorite, but you could also find yourself occasionally hanging out with Freddy or Roxy. Roxy was another animatronic that you were kind of in love with. Not as much as you were with Sun however. Today though your shift manager has decided to give you the dayshift, since they were so short staffed. Your role today was also to be a daycare attendant, since most of them had called off. Kids could get overwhelming though, so it was understandable. Sunny would probably be excited to see you in the morning. It would definitely be a surprise, considering you usually came down the slide around 12am.
They had given you a T-shirt that read 'Super-Star Daycare' and on the back in big bold letters, it said 'Staff '. You were also given a pair of black sweats so you would be more comfortable to move around and help the little ones. This was better then wearing a tucked in button up, and a bulky utility belt.

After clocking in, and putting on your temporary uniform, you smiled and made your way down the slide. Stepping your way out of the ball pit and towards the security desk to check in. Sun was off across the daycare, reading a story to about 30 kids or so, who were all sitting on the floor around him. You decided to make your way over since that's where all the kiddos currently were. While leaning against the play place you were able to let yourself relax a little bit and listen in. Sun turned the page of the book, holding it so all the children could see the pictures as he read.
You're friend hadn't noticed you yet. Was it weird that you were kind of enjoying the story though? Sun was reading 'Brown Bear' by Eric Carle, which was always a good choice. He made voices to go along with the characters, making the whole listening experience rather enjoyable and fun for anyone listening. Especially the little ones.
It only took about 5 more minutes before Sunny finished reading the book, closing it as the children either clapped, or went back to playing. Nap time would be in about 30 minutes. "I didn't know you could read" you teased him gently and approached your friend as he looked up with his wide smile. He seemed a little startled however.
"(Y/N)! Why...you're here so...early!" He stood up, greeting his best friend with a tight embrace, lifting you off the ground a little because of the large height difference. It had seemed kind of forced though. When Sun set you back down, he crossed his arms over his chest. "What brings you to the Daycare so early? They don't need you as a night guard anymore?" He was a bit confused. His tone sounded off compared to its usual bubbly and upbeat tone.
"Well, they needed someone to cover for morning shift, so I figured I would make myself useful and see what all the fuss was about. This place is pretty cool with everyone running around. The little ones really seem to enjoy it" you had a soft spot for kids. Only on occasion though. You never wanted one of your own.
"They love it, (Y/N)...you missed snack time though. They got fruit snacks today. Oh what a mess it was...I had so much to clean up" he sighed to himself. "That's ok though, because they are all clean now..." Sun deserved a medal for taking care of so many kids at once. It was certainly a talent of his. He was programmed for it though.
Some of the kids had decided to bring the dreaded fruit snacks into the play place, making quite a mess. Sunny took notice when he seen the empty wrapped get tossed down the slide. "What a mess...See what I mean,
(Y/N)?" He placed his hands on his head. "Would you like to help me clean it up? I can grab the paper towels and you can get the cleaner-" you smiled, but felt your face blush a bit. "I would be happy to help you, but every time I go in there, I get stuck. Remember..?" You looked towards the floor as your face heated up some more, and Sunny seemed to turn a little red as well. "Oh...well...maybe they should have scheduled someone else to help me then...don't you think, Starshine?" His tone sounded a lot less sweet then it usually was. It kind of worried you actually. "Just make sure the little ones don't make any more messes while I'm gone-..." He glanced back at you before skipping off to go gather the supplies he would need.
You kept watch over the children, starting to not like the day shift so much. Why was sun acting like this?It didn't take long for Sun to make his way up to the mess. The animatronic wasted no time in cleaning up the sticky accident, and came down the slide when he was finished. Tossing the paper towels in the trash can. You did take notice of some of the theming a little better though. You also took note of how high up the security net went. That was strange. "Have you ever left the daycare?"
You asked softly. You were genuinely curious. Sun was keeping a close eye on the kids, glancing at you, but only to answer your question. "All the time...when you don't watch the daycare during your shifts I will go find you...that reminds me! I have some of my own questions for you later, (Y/N)." Sun's demeanor seemed to actually change slightly,and he left you standing there as he started to get the sleeping bags all ready for nap time, making sure each child would have one. A couple minutes later, the kids were called to go lay down, and most of them did. You helped get the stragglers to the right place. Trying to get the rest to lay down was like herding cats.

Upon tucking in the last couple children, you had a moment to ponder  to yourself. Why did Sun sound so upset? Was it something you said? You had no idea, but you felt yourself become concerned when the lights seemed to shut off.
Wasn't there a rule here about that? Soft star lights lit up the ceiling a little, so there was just enough light to see, but not enough to disturb the little ones rest. Moon seemed nicer around the children, but that didn't mean he still didn't scare you. He made you shiver when he directed his attention towards you, only to see moon grin at you. This was fine. You would be fine...everything was going to be fine. That's what you told yourself anyway.
"(Y/N)? Aren't you a night guard? It's not night time, last I checked" he teased. Making his way over to you. "I'm working the dayshift..." you mumbled. Moon wrapped an arm around your shoulders, and started to walk with you. Leading you away from the little ones.
"Did you get tired of being passed around, (Y/N)? Sun seen your little...shenanigans. He sure is upset with you...he didn't want to tell you in front of the kids though. Who would have ever thought Roxy would be seen with a little floozy such as yourself." He chuckled. You weren't liking this conversation. As a matter of fact, you couldn't believe that sun had been stalking you when guarding over the other animatronics. You guys weren't a couple or anything, so he should mind his own business. You pushed moon away, sitting down on a bench with your head in your hands. That's what Sunny was so upset about, wasn't it...

"Aww, did I hurt your feelings?~ how pitiful." He snickered. Sitting down besides you. "You could always make it up to Sun later~" he trailed his fingers over your thigh, causing you to slap his hand away. "Stop...I...I'll talk to him tonight. I didn't mean to hurt his feelings...and I don't want him thinking I love Roxy just because we kind of did something together..." this was certainly a tricky situation. Moon wasn't helping you feel better either. "I still love you, even if you are a slut" he whispered in your ear.
That was very kind of him. "Yep. That's nice...go watch over the kids or something. There is a million other things to do besides make me feel bad." You could feel a tear fall down your cheek, and you decided to go on your lunch break. You just needed to think some things over without someone whispering in your ear. Sun would be fine anyway, right?
