Sunshine and Lollipops (Sun/Moon X Reader)

You stayed with Chica that night, telling her how you felt. She listened happily, comforting you to the best of her abilities.

Moon was working to get his room cleaned up, making it look very nice. He wanted you to have a more comforting place to rest, and just as an overall apology. He acknowledged that you were upset with him, and as bad as he could be, he did care about you. So he got to work.

You didn't have any trouble falling asleep, considering how easily exhausted you seemed to get. So when Monty had finally left his room to go talk with Chica, he was a little shocked to see you asleep in her bed.

¨Did you have to go rescue her from Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde upstairs?¨

Chica sighed. ¨Why do you always have to be so mean-¨

¨What? Am I wrong though?¨ Monty laughed at his own joke. He did think it was pretty clever after all.

¨She came down here on her own. She said her and Moon were not getting along the greatest, and she just needed some rest. She will be fine.¨

¨If you say so...I still find it hard to believe that someone as beautiful as her settled for...well you get my drift.¨

Monty took a seat on the pink couch, watching Chica, who was sitting at her vanity.

While all of that was going on downstairs, Moon had finished up making the room look a whole lot better for his little Starlight.

The ceiling was decorated with lights that looked like stars and the different constellations, the walls were a wonderful deep blue, the bed was nice and big, and everything just looked clean and pretty. Moon had also fixed up Sun's room, making it look cleaner as well.

Now all Moon had to do was go retrieve his little starlight.

Downstairs, Monty was watching (Y/N) sleep, rather surprised that she had been out for this long. ¨Doesn't it only take like..I don't know...a half an hour or something to charge? I'm pretty sure she can get out of bed now.¨

Chica put her head in her hands.

¨ What's wrong with you?¨

¨She is a Human, Monty.¨

¨So...?¨

¨She sleeps! She doesn't charge!¨

He seemed to be confused.

¨Whats the difference?¨

¨Remember when Sundrop was in parts and services getting fixed because that angry mom kicked him in the back of the knee for picking up her child?¨

¨Yes.¨

¨Ẅell, Remember when they made you watch over the daycare, and you had to give the kids Naptime?¨

¨Yes, but-¨

¨How long did they sleep?¨

¨An hour!¨

¨Yes, and a nap is a short version of Sleep, so sleep takes more than an hour.¨

¨I don't get it¨

Chica gave up. Turning back to her vanity as she applied her lipstick.

You had started to wake up, rubbing your eyes and sitting up in the bed. ¨Hmm...? What time is it?¨

¨Time for you to get a watch-¨

¨It is 2:30am¨

You glared at Monty for making such a stupid joke.

¨Thank you Chica.¨ You stretched, moving your hair out of your face. The jingling of bells could be heard in the distance, and you mentally prepared yourself for whatever was about to happen. Moon had let himself in the room, dropping down from the ceiling as he made his way over towards you.

¨What do you want, Moony...¨

¨Well...¨ He started. ¨I wanted to apologize for being mean to you, doll face...¨ That was a first.

¨Alright...¨ you perked up a little.

¨I also wanted to show you something- it is kind of like an apology gift.¨

You were curious as to what Moon wanted to show you, but you got up anyway. Finding yourself getting startled when a Rat scurried across the floor, and Moon picked you up.

Monty laughed. ¨Thats what happens when you spend all night eating out of the trash-¨

¨Shut up before I make you¨

Surprisingly, Monty did.

You and Moon however were on your way back to the daycare. You waved goodbye to Chica, being carried Bridal style up the stairs.

¨Im not heavy?¨ you asked kind of curiously.

¨Of course not, Starlight. You are lighter than a feather¨ He grinned, Bringing you once again into the room, but on his side. You felt your face light up, gasping in awe at how beautiful it looked.

¨Its so...so...¨

¨Wonderful?¨

You stared at the lights on the ceiling, squeezing Moon tightly as you hugged him.

¨It's better than wonderful! I love it!¨

He was very glad to hear that, climbing onto the bed and laying back as he pulled you into his lap. You liked these moments where you got to cuddle, pulling the blanket over you both.

¨Do you know anything about Space, Moon...?¨

He smiled down at you gently, arms wrapped around your waist. He never wanted to let you go. ¨I know a lot about it...I used to tell the kids about the planets and the stars...they don't really let me talk about it anymore though.¨

¨Well you can tell me...¨ You whispered, head laying against Moon's chest as he began to speak. Telling you all about the constellations, and the planets that existed oh so far away. You had always had wild dreams when you were little about becoming an astronaut and getting to see the Moon for yourself, although you may have achieved that, even if it was in a very different way. You had your own Moon, and he had you. Listening to him speak of all the galaxies you could never reach as you closed your eyes, and drifted away to your own land of dreams. You were happy to have settled things with Moon, sleeping soundly as he held you safe in his arms.
