Fred's Disclaimer: The author of this story does not own Harry Potter and frankly I'm quite mad that I'm not even in this chapter.

He quite literally turned green. His entire face took on a dark hue, not unlike that of Shrek or a lizard. Everyone went silent. Ron took one look at the look on everyone else's faces and lowered his eyes.

"I fucked up, didn't I?"

"Language, Weasley," Snape pointed his wand at Ron's face. "Finite Potiento." Ron's face assumed it's normal colour again. "Well that was certainly disappointing, wasn't it?" He looked around. "Next."

This went on for another fifteen minutes. Hermione and Neville were the only other pair who got their potion right. Hermione was able to break a table in half using her mind; though this unfortunately docked 10 points from Gryffindor. Which was in no way fair, but Snape is Snape.

"Malfoy and Potter," Snape glanced over at us.

Draco and I exchanged glances, taking two spoonfuls from the cauldron. It tasted somewhat like strawberry jello but had the consistency of oil.

After a few minutes, nothing had happened. And then Draco's hands started glowing. Within seconds, all the lights turned out, or were absorbed by his newfound power. It was certainly strange yet magical to watch.  Snape pointed his wand at Draco, muttering the same spell he had for Ron. The lights came back on, but stayed dimmer than before.

Everyone looked at me expectantly.

I didn't feel anything different. Nothing glowed, or broke in half.

"I guess it didn't work," I shrugged.

"I was hoping that something cool would happen."

"That's unfortunate."

"I wonder if Snape'll take points from her? I mean, she is his favourite student."

"How come it worked for Malfoy but not Y/N?"

"Potter's such a teacher's pet. Snape would give her points even if she screwed the whole potion up."

"I'm hungry."

"Wait, Potter's actually kind of hot.."

My eyes widened and I looked around. It seemed that the potion hadn't given me new powers, just increased the ones I had.

"Clean up your cauldrons now, class dismissed," Snape said, waving his wand so that the board wiped itself clean.

"He didn't even dock her any points."

"So unfair."

"This class is dumb as hell."

"I heard she hooks up with Malfoy and Diggory."

"That's a lie," I said angrily, turning around to where the voice came from. Pansy Parkinson stared at me, her eyes wide.

"But how did you..." She trailed off, pulling her wand out.

"Wands away, Miss Parkinson," Snape said sharply. "There will be no need for conflict in this classroom. You will take your books and exit in a proper fashion."

"How did she know what I was thinking?" Pansy asked loudly, narrowing her eyes. "Maybe she's just as messed up as her brother." She backed off mouthing the word 'slut' to me.

I rolled my eyes, collecting my books.

"Hey, wait," a voice called after me as I left the classroom with Hermione. I thought it was Harry, but it was Draco.

"What was that about?" Draco inquired. "Why did you say that to Pansy?" He didn't seem to be accusing me of anything. Just wondering.

"I don't know," I said, trying to shrug it off. "I guess I just thought she said something she didn't. It's not a big deal." Hermione was giving me a suspicious look so I sighed. "It's nothing, Malfoy. I have to go."

"Right," Malfoy answered, looking a bit awkward as he trodded off to find Crabbe and Goyle.

"So you and Malfoy just talk to each other now?" Hermione raised her eyebrows, surprised. "Harry would definitely hate that."

"He's being weirdly nice," I commented. "I just hope it lasts."

"I thought she liked Fred."

"I don't like Malfoy in that way," I said, half reflecting off of her thought. Realizing my mistake, I rambled on. "No, I mean Malfoy's a jerk. We all know that. I'm just glad he's being nicer."

"Oh, yeah, of course," Hermione nodded. "I get it."

"I have to go to that dumb wand weighing thing," I said, rolling my eyes. "With the other champions. McGonagall said that there was no choice for me..." I trailed off. "If Dumbledore decrees it, it's what's going to happen."

Hermione wrinkled her nose. "I'm sorry, Y/N. But they did change the rules a bit, so maybe the Tournament won't be as hard as it was previously?"

"Yeah, maybe," I said halfheartedly. "I'll see you at lunch, kay?"

"I hope she's alright."

"Bye Y/N."

"Bye, Mione."
