Resigining

LEHER'S POV :-

It's been a few days since we got married, nothing much has happened. I haven't talked to Viraj much too, his family is really nice though. I spend my time with the family and everyone has gone back to their regular routine so I was thinking of joining my office again too. We all had our dinner and were in our respective rooms. I am sitting in front of the vanity doing my night routine when I thought to talk to Viraj about me re-joining the office. I looked up to see him on his laptop, I called him " Viraj ", he looked at me and I continued " mai kal se office rejoin kar rahi hu." He waited for a few seconds and said " NO" I said frustrated "no ka kya matlab hai Viraj. I like to work and will continue working. You don't tell me what to do. I was not asking for your permission, I was just telling you" " mai tumhe rok nahi raha, I want you to work in our company . Tumhare liye lawyer ki position khali hai hamari company mein"
I tried to convinced him " Viraj, I like where I work and there is no reason for me to quit my job jaha meine itne saal kaam kiya hai. Aur vaise bhi resign karne ke bhi kuch protocols hote hai. I will have to work for about 2 more week even if I give my resignation tomorrow". Working on his laptop for a few minutes he then said "Open your email". I did and there it was 'A resignation letter'. He said " Ye bas kal apne boss ko submit kar dena" I was very tired and frustrated, and didn't wanna talk about it so I just nodded to end this conversation. Meanwhile, Viraj also closed his laptop and we both went to sleep. We sleep separately, like leaving some space in the middle of bed, but somehow every single time I end up hugging him. Viraj was sleeping half naked. His bare chest was visible through the moonlight and damn... what a sight to see before sleeping. It looked so defined and his six packs was a cherry on the cake. Last night I was so tired and sad that I didn't even know when I slept or what happened before that but damn I missed a whole view. I wonder if he sleeps like that every night. While admiring his angelic body, I didn't know when I slept and yet again hugging him.

I wake up and see that Viraj is not in bed. I got up and went to freshen up. When I came out I saw Viraj was covered in sweat, from which I assume that he just came from the gym. He went to the bathroom and I started getting ready in the closet room. He cane out and towards me." I gave him a light smile and wore my pearls to finish my look. Meanwhile, he also got ready and I saw that he was struggling with the tie. He faced me with tie in his hands and I looked at him and asked "abse pehle kon bandhta tha" and said " mein generally tie nahi pehenta ho par jab bhi ho toh maa pehnati thi." I took the tie hesitating, wrapped it around his neck and when I was tying it, a thought came to me 'He isn't that bad', I mean, agar mujhe is aadmi ke sath apni puri zindagi bitani ho toh I wouldn't complain and I too need to put in efforts to make this marriage work. We went down and I was already so late. And seeing Viraj rush I guess he was too. We both told ma that we'll eat while in the office but she wouldn't listen one thing. She forced us both to sit down, eat properly and then go. She specifically held Viraj's ears when he started to argue with her, which I honestly found so cute. Dadu asked me if I was going to work in current firm and I told her yes. He asked Viraj to make a position in their company and I interrupted, "Dadu Viraj ne kaha tha, par resignation ke baad bhi 2 hafte toh kaam karna hi padta hai." He nodded and we finished our food which I practically swallowed. Me and Viraj ran towards our respective cars and biding farewell, I left for my office and he left for his.

While I was on the way to office. I thought up an excuse to give since I know they'll get to know about it soon. And also I needed to give resignation. I don't know how my boss will react. I entered the office, headed straight to my floor and went to the cabin without looking at anyone. I wanted to avoid it for as long as I could, but was not able to play it further because Siya came running to hug me. I had already sent my resignation email. Siya said " Mujhe toh baat bhi nahi karni chahiye terse. Matlab had hai yaar. Party se kya gayab hui uske baat mili hi nahi. Kaha thi kaisi thi aur itne dino-" she stopped in the middle, took my hands, looking at my chudha and then looked at me in shock. I knew what was coming, I tried to explain. " Siya, mujhe kuch batana tha, meri shaadi ho gayi hai Viraj se. Mera unse relationship chal ra tha aur ab humne shaadi kar ki." "Viraj matlab? VIRAJ SINGH SINGHANIA???". I sighed and nodded my head. I knew this was gonna happen. A call cut us in between and it was my boss. He wanted to see me in his office regarding the email I just sent. While I was on the way there, I felt very anxious. I entered and he stood up from his seat coming towards me. "Leher tum thik toh ho. Viraj ka call aya tha mujhe, aur ye email.. kkya tum apni marzi se ye job chod kar jaa rahi ho??" Dekho agar kuch bhi problem hai toh tum mujhse share kar sakti ho. Ham sab tumhare sath hai." I ensured him everything was fine and I was leaving this job with my own wish. He asked me the reason and I said " Sir meri shaadi ho gayi hai ab, aur main zyada kaam nahi karna chahti hu aur mujhe ek break bhi mil jayega." "Shaadi? Kisse? Kab?" Ooh shit, I think Viraj hasn't told him about us yet. I should've thought what to say before speaking but he would've already guessed that I am married seeing my chudha. I guess he was too busy worrying about me 😂. How dumb can I be. I got out of my thoughts and answered "Meri Viraj Singhania se shaadi ho gayi hai" He looked at me with shocking expressions, just like I expected. He just asked me one question " kahi vo tumse zabardasti toh nahi kar raha na? Tum khush ho?" I smiled at him and nodded. I knew he cared for me like a father, and I was grateful for that. He said " You still will have to work for resignation period here and you will have to give us a farewell party. OK?" I laughed and nodded. I came back to my seat and handled Siya. I took her to lunch and promised her to tell everything from on which technically wasn't possible since I was already lying about me and Viraj having a relationship before marriage so my conscience took over me.

I finally made my way back and was really exhausted. I entered the house to see Aryan throwing tantrum about something when he looked up to find me and said " bhabi thank god aap agaye ab aap hi batao, ye kitni galat baat hai. Humesha aisa hi karte hai mere le-" I interrupted him "sahi baat hai, tere sath hi hota hai sab kuch bura, ab bata kya hua" I giggled and everyone one else laughed. He explained "mai vaise hi kitchen mei gaya toh maine dekha ki dinner ready ho raha tha. maine pucha ke kya ban raha hai toh Viraj bhai ke sare favourite dishes banye hai. Mujhe toh lagta hai adopted hu mei. Like why.... mere liye kyu nahi bante" to which Karan said "tujhe ab pata chala hai. Mei toh tujhe bachpan se bol raha hu ki tu adopted hai. Aur tu manta hi nahi. Le, mil gya proof" but Aryan didn't stop rambling. I looked looked behind him to see that everyone was sitting on the chair and massaging their fore-head because of Aryan. I decided to give them a break by saying "Chal thik hai. Aaj tu ye kha le phir kal teri pasand ki saari dishes banengi and I promise, mei banaungi. Jo tu bolega wahi banega." he looked at me and said "pakka" and I replied "pakka" and smiled wide and said "u are the best bhabi. Sachi bohot bhuk lagi hai fresh ho kar aa jao, itni der me bhai bhi aa jayenge phir sath mei dinner karte hai" I nodded and made my way to the room I changed into something comfortable. As I was about to enter the elevator, the door opened ti reveal Viraj. I passed him a smile but he just walked towards the room. khadoos I stick my tongue towards his back and waited for him so we can go down together. We made our way down and started with the dinner while making small talks about different things while Viraj remained silent for the most part and was on his phone the whole time. So ma said "Viraj singhania aap aapne hi rules bhul gaye? no electronic devices on the dining table." he kept his phone aside and resumed his meal while Akash and Aryan being themselves couldn't leave the chance to mock Viraj so they started saying " yes Viraj Singhania keep your phone aside, this is family time u can do your work later" I couldn't help but laugh at it. Viraj glared at his brother and then at me and this made me laugh more. He was so embarrassed but couldn't do anything and then he said " tum dono ko toh mei dekh lunga aur tum, Leher, tumhe bohot hasi aa rahi hai.."   "haye Viraj pls bande ko hasi nahi aa sakti, agar aap nahi haste to ye matlab nahi hai ke log bhi nahi haste. Sab apki tarah khadoos nahi hote" I said while passing him a tight lip smile and Aryan and Akash just laughed more loudly. We finished our dinner and made our way towards the room.

I finished up my night routine and sat on the bed. Viraj was watching something on his laptop which he closed as I came in. It was being awkward so I started talking, didn't know what to say, so I just started with telling him about my day and he listened with patience and interest. I looked at the time and it was already mid night. I gasped and realizing how much I might have talked and made him bored, I said sorry. He said "kyu". I explained for talking too much. He replied with " Don't you ever say sorry to me for talking too much. I love your voice and love hearing you talk." My stomach was all tingly from his comment. I blushed and a smile appeared on my face and he smiled back. I said " so apka din kaisa gaya aaj?" And we talked a little more for some more time and I didn't know when I slept. I woke up in his arms. Again!
