Brand new and the centre of attention is Phil Lester.
Dan stares at the pretty boy who is surrounded by the majority of his year.
He already has a girl hanging off of his arm.
He is smiling and laughing and loving every second of his fame.
He catches Dan's eye and winks.
Dan's eyes widen and he stares at his table in embarrassment.
He feels a tap on his shoulder and looks up.
It's Phil.
"Hi, do you-"
Dan leaves before the pretty new boy can finish his sentence.
