I quietly rush inside, luckily my moms office is all the way on the other side downstairs. I walk upstairs towards my brothers room. "Here's all of your snacks." I say throwing the bag on his bed. "Your actually going to wear a graphic shirt to the dinner?" I ask. "That's definitely a good impression on your old crush Ken." I say sarcastically.
"First of all, I was 7 years old, second of all Dr. Scribblebottoms is an icon. Anyway what took you so long though?" He asks. "Oh right I almost forgot! I met someone from our school named Anthony. He's really sweet. A gamer nerd like you so I think you'll like him." I said.
"Very funny." he said. I laughed. "I'll see you downstairs later Ken." I say as I start walking towards my room. I didn't have anything fancy or formal to wear to the dinner since we haven't gone shopping yet. I just decided to wear what I have on. I get one of my old books from my bookshelf as I re-read it on my hammock. No matter how hard I try I can't stop thinking of Anthony. How his smile made me smile, and his laugh filled something inside of me that I never ever imagined. I wasn't necessarily a judgy person, but most boys at my old school were loud, and obnoxious, but Anthony was different. Not only the fact that he was attractive, he was also kind-hearted. When we talked, it was like we saw a different part of each other.
I heard a knock on my door. "Come in!" I said. I saw that it was my mom so I immediately got up and smiled. " I have something for you." She revealed a box behind her back and opened it. "Oh my gosh that's beautiful!" I exclaimed. "Yes and it's yours now." she smiled. It was a beautiful long sleeve lavender flowy dress with silver heels to match it. I've never had anything like it.

"Thank you so much mom!" I said as I rushed over to go hug her. "Your welcome baby. I also got your brother something new too. I don't want you both to think all these new things changes who we are, but I want you both to know that I'm here for you." She says as she hugs me tightly. "I love you so much mom." I say on her chest. "I love you too baby." she replied. "Well I'm gonna let you try it on now, come downstairs when your done." She says as she exits my room.
I put the dress on and it fits me perfectly. It hugged my curves, not too tightly, and fell on the upper part of my knee. I style my hair in a high bun to show my cheekbones. The heels were gorgeous, I honestly felt like everything was too much, but I could never refuse. I went downstairs to see that it's 5:55 pm so we start heading towards the house.
It was only 3 minutes away, we honestly could've walked it. We arrived at the front of the house and it was just as I remembered it. The closer we got the more nervous I became though. I haven't seen them in years, I wondered if Skarlett, Sebastian, and I would even get along, let alone have anything in common.
