📝Debate📝 ~Hyunjin

"Okay! I need everyone's attention! Abby, I'm looking at you." The said girl scrunched up her nose and made a face at the debate team captain when her back was turned. She shot a look at Abby. "I saw that. So, today will be one of our last debates so please give it your all. Just breath and stick to the facts. Deliver your argument with confidence. Am I understood?"

"Yes Captain."

Once the Captain's speech was over, they all filed into the bus. "Abby!" Abby turned around and smiled at her best friend. "Hey Yeji. Are you excited?"

Yeji's smile widened as she nodded vigorously. We're going to my brother's school! You can finally meet him!"

Abby's face twisted into confusion. "Wait, boys go to the school we're debating at?" The captain turned in her seat and nodded.

"If you were paying attention in any of the meeting, you would know that the top boys school and the top girls school of this area will go against each other to see who will get to go to nationals. Because only one school from each area can represent." Abby's mouth formed an "O" as the captain finished. "Hehe, sorry."

She turned to her best friend. "Why have I never met him before? All those times that I've been to your house... I feel betrayed some how." Yeji snickered. "He also plays a few sports. So it's easier for him to just stay at the dorms." Abby nodded and soon rested her head on Yeji's shoulder to get some sleep.

"Wake up Abby, we're here." The said girl rubbed her eyes as she sat straight up. "The others just left, so we need to catch up to them." Abby nodded and hurried to the exit the bus.

The two girls ran into the school and spotted their group. "I'll be there in a minute. I need to use the restroom." Yeji turned to her friend and nodded. "Okay, we'll be in the auditorium." She turned and left as Abby entered the washroom.

After checking her appearance, she exited the bathroom. The girl was almost to her destination, when she bumped into something. Well.. more like, someone.

He was tall and had a shocking resemblance with her best friend. But he had more masculine features, including his beautiful nose and sharp jawline.

"Are you okay? You should watch where you're going next time." "Well, you were the one who just appeared out of nowhere." He stifled a chuckle as he held out his hand for her to shake. "I'm Hyunjin." Abby nodded. "Yeah I figured."

Hyunjin looked at the female in confusion. "I'm on the girl's debate team." He then made a face of understanding.

"Yeji?"

"Yeji."

She smiled. "I'm Abby. Try not to feel too bad when you lose okay?" Taking a 90° turn right, she strutted into the auditorium and made her way to the stage.

As the two best friends and Hyunjin exited , Yeji stretched. "That was tough! I hate you dear brother." He smiled smugly. "How do you feel Abby? Because I feel great!" The girl rolled her eyes. "Oh haha, very funny. We'll win next year. I just sad we can't travel to nationals."

Yeji threw her arm over Abby's shoulder. "Then let's start studying right away." Hyunjin laughed and jumped in front of them. "As fun as that sounds, let's go to the nearby café before you have to leave!"

Abby crossed her arms. "And what do I get out of that?" With an eyebrow raised, she watched the boy smirk confidently. "We'll, you get to spend time with me." He paused before adding. "And I'll pay."

Both girls smiled and Abby started walking towards the exit with a smile.

"How can I argue with those reasons?"
